It's incredible how much content you got in to this in such a short time! The general gameplay loop really reminded me of Slay The Spire, getting this much in to a gamejam is absolutely insane, great work. Sadly I'm just not very good at games like these so I didn't get too far, but that's purely a skill issue, this is so great

Incredible work to have made this in just over a week wow. I love the art style, it all looks so good and cohesive. The gameplay is fun, it's a solid deck builder, tho I do agree with others that something differentiating it from slay the spire would've been nice. I think it was all really well executed, it was fun building my deck and becoming OP to annihilate the boss. I do think it could've used a bit more description for what keywords meant, like for instance I don't know what the 3 mana card that gives you growth at the start of the next turn did. Overall fantastic job, very highly polished and well executed game!
Aw, thank you so much for the kind words! I agree with you about the keyword descriptions and changing it to make it less of a Slay the Spire clone. I think those two things could improve the game a lot and are definitely things to keep in mind for the post-jam update.
Appreciate you taking the time to play and leave feedback!
Super cute art!! I love the style. The gameplay kind of reminds of Die in the Dungeon, which I love. Well done!
As others have said, the art is gorgeous! And there are so many features you got in which is super impressive! One thing I felt I missed was feedback on where to click. Either with SFX or a little shake to tell my brain I am over something that I can interact with. I also wished there were tooltips or some kind of help with what the icons meant or what the features were. It felt like you relied on an understanding of slay the spire to teach how to play. I am excited to see what you come up with next! Minor, but I couldn’t load this game in the duck duck go browser on mac. I switched to chrome and I could. In duck duck go it was stuck on the loading screen.
You make a lot of valid points on the UI! I meant to have something for the active button states (like a hover effect of some sort), but ran out of time and didn't add anything which does feel a bit weird I think! Same with tooltips. I also wanted to include a tutorial but ran out of time. But those are all things that I think would greatly improve the experience if they were implemented!
Also thank you for the feedback about it not working in Duck Duck Go! I had no idea it wasn't working in there - might need to test it in other browsers too, and figure out how to fix it after the jam.
Thank you for your kind words and detailed feedback, I appreciate it!
As so many others already mentioned, the art is incredible!!!
I just wish your art would be animated to make it even more alive (they already have faces etc.) but I know that would be insane amount of work for a jam and as far I see this was even an solo entry hence no time for that for sure.
I am not a card game player so I cannot give feedback for improving the gameplay, but I enjoyed playing it. I guess my main motivation to proceed was seeing more art from you.
Maybe as a tip for future, look out for a 2d developer with some experience in jams and team up with him. I guess you could unleash more potential in a jam if you spent the whole week on art. I can imagine that would end up being insane.
Great job on this and looking forward to see more from you!
I love your idea of teaming up! Being able to focus on just the art for these jams sounds dreamy, because art is my favorite thing to do! Right now I'm trying to learn Godot (hence why I work solo) but in the future I would love to team up with others.
I also really wanted to animate everything, and hoped I'd be able to have stuff like idle / attack animations, but sadly ran out of time. What trips me up the most during jams is usually the code and trying to figure out how to make stuff work! But I agree, animation would bring everything to life and be so nice to have.
Really happy to hear you enjoyed it even as someone who doesn't play these types of games - thanks for taking the time to play and leave such a nice comment!
