One of my favorites — it picks up pace really quickly and is genuinely exciting. I love the spray bottle :D. The ending was unexpected (a cool twist). The mix of cozy and horror elements works really well for me! A great jam entry overall.

one of if not the best game I've played so far, I got the chills at the end, such a surreal and odd expericence. Definitely worth a play

That was really cool, and shows how much I could improve in Godot though I got stuck in level 2 because I didn't notice that you could pickup the carpet arrhg the one thing hurting me experience I got a little frustrated getting stuck in a loop with that. Also I noticed the CaseOh on the pizza box nice touch haha.

Developer

Damn, Daniel.

[mild spoilers]

No, but seriously, I wasn't expecting the amount of story packed into the game. There's clearly some kind of cult activity going on with Spiro, told through the evidence, that took a couple of playthroughs for me to fully understand. I was trying to figure out how the game has parasites and I got it when I figured out that the house is itself the host for the parasite, or is the parasite itself since it's alive I guess. It makes me wonder who these people were, who their god is and what they plan to do beyond summoning him? Is the pink place at the end us disappearing into the walls? Eaten by the house? What does it mean if we clock out, are we consenting to be consumed by the house? Idk

Really pretty art, satisfying gameplay, I think especially for a horror game for a jam it's at a really good place for more content and then I could totally see it taking off.

This is the best entry I played in this jam so far. Flawless execution. This has got to be top 10, it's too good not to. Well done. Although I encountered a softlock when I try to clock out after the little platforming section, the dialog is stuck because I got hit by one of the floaters and I couldn't retry nor quit.

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a ton to me!
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game, and thank you for letting me know about the bug you experienced, I made note of it and will be fixing it right after the jam

Oh yeah and one more thing that I encountered, I think this one's on me but it took me a while to realize you can pick up the bloody carpet. I looked everywhere thinking I missed something turns out I just had to press E on the carpet. So maybe you could add some sort of hover behavior to the interactable objects.

Developer

Got it, that's valuable feedback! I'll try out some things like having a unique shader/particles/cursor effects on items, to make it more clear what you can interact with

Cool little experience! The atmosphere is great.

[SPOILER] I suck at platforming so I did get stuck for some time in the end and when I did clock out I died while the manager was still speaking to me and got soft locked in the menu.

Thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for letting me know, that is def a bug that I'll be fixing right after the jam!

Okay, WOW! I don't know how you managed to put so much polish into your game, but it's amazing. I see how it has psychological horror packed into the end and man it worked well!
