Pretty decently executed game actually with a funny story.

I have very little to complain about this entry except to say I was expecting to look for more subtle clues and changes while changing between cameras instead of obvious monster eye balls appearing. The painting changing was the best clue imo.

Ok guys- cutscenes? Voice acting? Now that's some production value for a jam game!

The look and sound of the game was great! Wouldn't expect anything less from you guys :) It occurred to me, that using the night vision filter makes the game look cool, and is probably pretty fast to implement. The sound was properly spooky.

As for the gameplay- I needed to re-read the instructions and find out you need to hold the mouse to mark the anomaly. Also- is being jumped by the boogin has any consequences except the camera being turned off for a moment? The gameplay was fun, and it would be cool if the game was longer (then again- 4 day jam, right?).

The theme was used as a fun way to jumpstart the game, but sorta didn't affect the gameplay. I was looking for the creepy eyes, the scary painting and the... tipped over tv!? Now, when I get haunted I expect all kinds of spooky paranormal stuff, but voiding the warranty on the TV is just low, even for a tentacle-handed demon with zero body fat! And wait- was the police ALSO haunted?

Really nice game. Loved the contrast in art styles and the jumpscares genuinely scared me at some points. Well done :D

Developer

Thanks! The contrast wasn't actually planned but it felt kinda good in terms of underlining the spooky atmosphere. I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

I tried your game, and its remind me of fnaf, so I love it!

Developer

Thank you! FNAF was definitely a major inspiration

Ah yeah, I also first thought about making an "I'm on Observation Duty"-like game. The gameplay is simple and nice, as well as the art and sound! The theme was also integrated. The only kind of misleading part was the "click" at the anomalies tutorial, even though you had to hold the left mouse button. Overall, a great job for only 4 days, especially with the modeling!

Thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback

To be fair - most of the models are from an asset pack so I can't really take the credit for that, although all the rest was done by hand :)

I already loved the intro scene. It a funny start transitioning to a mysterious surrounding. The theme fits beautifully, and the horror-like atmosphere makes it an ideal pick for Halloween. The overall style and room design are great, constantly keeping me on edge, waiting for something terrifying to happen. And well… I wasn’t disappointed. It scared the hell out of me xD I hate those games (in the best possible way).

The sound design matches the atmosphere perfectly, and the controls feel solid, especially with the nice feedback when holding down the LMB. The game itself is quite short, but it’s engaging all the way through, with a few clever humorous moments.

Given the limited jam time, this is an impressive, polished entry. Creepy, stylish, and surprisingly fun, although it's those kind of games I usually hate.

Thank you for your throughout feedback Sherlocklini :)

Glad to hear that you hate/loved it xD I couldn't pour in the level of polish i usually aim for because I lack a lot of time at the moment, but with the help of Meru we were able to manage.

It was also my first attempt at a horror game so I'm glad that it could spook you

I really enjoyed playing this. How did you manage to do this in only 4 days? Thats crazy, huge congratulations from me.

Developer

Glad that you liked it! The teamwork with Meru worked very well so we could split a lot of the work up onto two people, that made it manageable :)

Anyways thank you for your feedback
