Very fun game and overall a very well designed puzzle game. I'm not sure where the idea of adding a potato came from but I welcome it!
I think some of the transportation can kind of drag towards the end but it is the theme of the jam so it makes sense to be there.
I'd really love to see the concept expanded upon including some of the other chess pieces, I think you could make eve n more puzzles out of those.
At one point I realized I could carry both a potato and a piece at the same time, that seems like a bug?
Really enjoyed this one! Simple design but with a lot of depth.
The Transport theme got a bit in the way and after a couple of levels I wish I didn't have to wheelbarrow the pieces across the void.
In the end, it is fun and it looks good. Great job!
I really liked this game and its concept! It is one of those games whose name is so random you just have to try it out! This is simple yet complex due to having to manage two chess boards at once and figure out how to not let any piece take another. Overall very fun game, great art style, and goofy potatoes. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew
Really unique take on the raft problem! Unfortunately I'm not very knowledgeable in chess so I didn't know the movements of certain chess pieces, led to quite a bit of trial and error on my end.
I also found it difficult to place the potato down, felt it would only register where I wanted to place it some of the time. For some reason I couldn't place it anywhere on the right board - every time I tried it would place where it last was on the left board. Other than that though, I really love the concept and you did well with it, nice job!
Boback, I just played you and your wife's game, Rooks, Bishops, Potatoes, and it is one of the best game jam games I ever played in terms of uniqueness. The art is really solid and charming, and the gameplay is literally like Chess, except that it's really simple as you're just transporting chess pieces across two different platforms while also avoiding the black and white pieces on the red light, or else you'll get a Game Over. However, sometimes when I start a new level, I instantly get a Game Over because on the left board, the black and white chess pieces are in the same area, and they instantly start to attack, and plus, sometimes when I'm not on the platform to get across, I end up getting stuck in places, forcing me to restart the level, even though I made some really good progress. Overall, 3.75/5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic work, Boback, and shoutout to your wife, as well!
Also, Boback, if you and your wife have the time, if you would check out my game, Delivery Berrie, and rate it, I would very much appreciate of y'all even playing my game, and giving me feedback, whether it's good or bad! Thank y'all so much if you do! ❤️📦🎮
Really great game! Only one thing that got me annoyed is when i accidentaly let go of the piece and fail, i couldn't go just one turn back. But overall, i enjoyed this one a lot. Now i will tell everyone that my favourite chess piece is a potato :D
really creative idea! I like how you reimagined the classic raft problem as a puzzle game, though moving around the pieces using the wheelbarrow was a little tedious, it definitely wouldn't feel the same without moving back and forth on a raft, cool puzzle design and a great concept in general, good job :)
The game is great but I would recommend to fix the moving platform because you can fall of it as it is on the other side and no way to get the platform back, Nice Game! I would really appreciate if you could give me some feedback on my game: Golden Motion, Thanks! 😊😊
I think this is a really unique and fun puzzle game! My only complaint I have is once I understood how it worked, I just wanted to be able to use my mouse to quickly move pieces. Art is good, sound is good, game design is good. Good job!
