Welcome to the 2025 MashUp Game Jam!

This is the fifth game jam hosted by Game Development YouTuber MashUp Games.
With over 200+ people participating in the last game jams, this event is guaranteed to be worth your time!

In this game jam, you wil have 7 DAYS to make a game around a given theme, that is announced when the jam starts.

When the 7 days are up, the games will then be rated on the following categories:

Overall,     Fun,     Theme,     Design,     Art,     Sound

It is highly encouraged that you play and rate other entries, as it will increase the chances of people doing the same to yours!

You cannot use any generative AI tools for making your game. Only assets and code made by humans are allowed!

All game engines and frameworks are allowed, as long as people can play your game on the computer. A WebGL version is the best bet to get people to play your entry!

You can use any assets (again, no AI-generated ones), as long as you have the licenses for them. So anything you have got from Asset Stores or stuff online with the Creative Commons license or that you have bought are completely allowed.

Your game must be free to play and available to play/download on itch.io.

Any game submitted must have been made during the jam. No game made before the jam are allowed for submission.

Once the rating period starts, you CANNOT work on your game any further unless you are:

Fixing bugs that make the game unplayable

Adding a separate platform build of your game

When the rating period has ended however, you can then do whatever you like with your game :)
