Damn, by far the best game I've played this jam. Music is insane; was wondering where the HP is and then i listened a bit better lmao. Really really fun game, good job!
P.S. for anyone struggling, try to lean away from the monitor as you'll see the objects better and have smaller tunnel vision : )
The game didn't work for me :( in both levels, only a couple of objects would spawn, and then nothing would ever spawn again. It seems to be a rare issue, since I'm only seeing one other player in the comments that also had it.
It's really a shame, since the art + music clearly had so much TLC put into it. I'm glad others are able to enjoy it atleast :)

After like 4-5 objects, the music continues playing but no objects spawn 😔
I really like rythm games, was great to see one as well made as this was! I love the art and it feels pretty satisfying to play. Though I do feel like it's an odd choice to speed up the gameplay after getting hit, it's not just punishing but can easily send you down a negative feedback loop where you just immediately take damage again since you're not accustomed to the new BPM at all yet and get caught off guard. I also think that it would be great to have an indication on which object is the next one to hit, like how Undyne's spears become red. Just some subtle effect on the next object in line would make the gameplay much more intuitive, I think. Really really cool jam entry!
You're right about speeding up, but it was more like another nod towards the theme (cause mc is a blackhole, when he consumes the object, his gravity gets stronger), so we thought since it's a jam project - why not? :)
Indication on the closest object is kind of an obvious idea, but I didn't thought about that lol

Looks like Fancy Pants has a new companion.
Very nice art, unique control scheme (though I would've liked to be able to move my mouse off the window instead of it being stuck in the center).
I could see this being a fleshed-out game. Maybe add power-up where he turns into a white hole for a split second, and repels the notes (or one of his other cousins is a white hole and comes to the rescue).
I love the small details (head changes sizes based on the music, the cousins).

Great game! Love the genius rhythm whereas protagonist is a literal black hole. It could be a great mobile game if developed even more!

It's a joke based on similarity of the character designs
