I did like this, but I wish it was clearer which tiles were and were not masked out for the player. The W bug was annoying, but it wasn't too bad to manage by just double-tapping W any time I needed to dash.
I think i beat the game because it threw me back to the main menu at some point when i collected the last moon, so i think i beat it?
The mechanics are fun and i have to be honest the little bugs made it more challenging and somehow funny so i liked the extra challenge :D. I was able to defeat the W bug by constantly spamming W in my run. it added a layer of difficulty lol, but it was cool.
Another super funny bug was that there was a sleeping farmer and with Q i somehow managed to get him permanently stuck to me, he woke up and was stuck to my head. so that was my personal farmer buddy. but he went away after a while :*(
It was a short but very funny experience and made me laugh, so in the end thats the best thing that can happen right :D
Im a big fan of pixelart and chiptune music so that was also very pleasing to me.
All in all a fun game imo.
Nice Job :D
Thanks for playing! We didn’t have time to make a proper ending, to avoid error i indeed thew the player to the main menu screen instead. Also i found a workaround for the “jump” bug.
The issue isn’t even that big: i forgot to realese the focus… Nice to hear you have adopt a farmer. Seem like a fun experience,I’m happy to hear you liked it despite all those issue
I had the same issues as below, I did try to change the jump key but for some reason that didn't stick. But I did love the look and feel of the game and I enjoyed the bit i could play.
Yeah it seem kinda bad, i finally found a workaround for the “jump” bug.
I liked the art style, well chosen colors, really sells the night/wolf vibe. But I didn't understand the game, sorry, and believe me I tried! So I even changed the jump button to intro, then I upgraded the tree and then intro wasn't jumping. So I went back to the controls and the jump was assigned to left click (?) so I think like the key capture never stopped capturing after I pressed "intro" so the next thing I did was click away from the settings and it captured the click? I don't know.
It's too buggy, I couldn't pass the second screen, I don't know what to do with the dead body, I tried giving it to the farmer, going to the right of the screen to leave, nothing... I'm not gonna rate it yet, I want to give you guys a chance because it looks cool and I know you put a lot of effort into it, but you need to please guide me on how to go to the next couple of screens, maybe there's a workaround, you tell me. Thanks!
I’m really thankfull you are willing to give it a second try. To pass levels you need to grab the moonshard that is rotating, you’ll find it generally on the right of the level. On the second level, you will need to use a movement skill frmo the skill tree to be able to grab it. The farmer are obstacle, some are asleep and can wake up when a dog bark.
We didn’t encounter your bug were the key capture never stopped but after investigating, i found out that clicking with the mouse on the button when the capture is on don’t desactivate the capture and also same with the enter button. Kinda weird but my guess is it’s a ui things since the button is focus/select, those key immediatly reactivate the key capture as they pressed the button again. Also, for unknow reason the “W” key also open the skill_tree or settings, avoid this key too.
Sorry again for all those bug, we didn’t encounter that much problem when playtesting. I hope you still will like the game even with all those inconvenient. to sum up, avoid to use the key ‘enter’, ‘space’ and ‘w’.
Oooooh, ok, ok, ok. AT LEAST I got it working. I had to change my input buttons, jump with the left click, dash with right click and I was able to reach the ending. And the dog woke up some farmers, I see what you went for.
Too bad it has so many bugs, because it was actually interesting, interesting mechanics, environment. I like the simple art style. I'll be nice with the ratings because I'm sure it took you a lot of effort. Keep it up!!
I really like the concept and art of this one. Reminds me of Jack the Anatolian Shepard! Unfortunately the game seemed to have some very constant game breaking bugs. Such as getting taken to skill tree and clipping super fast. Regardless the art is great, I really like the farmer with his pitchfork and hat!
Thanks, yeah sorry about this bug, i though i fix it but it still slip through the final version. Changing the jump keybind to something else than “space” should patch this.
The art was super cool on this! The mechanics unfortunately kinda broke on me, whenever I tried to jump it would take me to the skill tree instead. Other than that though, it was a fun game :)
Thanks! Kinda sad you encounter this bug, i also encounter it during playtest and i though i had fix it. The issue seem to be because the UI somewho still is focus. You should be able to do a workaround fix by changing the jump key to something other than 'space'. Thanks for reporting this bug and thanks for playing
I loved the art and sound in this. The mechanics were pretty straightfoward and the levels felt good, the characters were sweet too. I had some issues with controls and the skill tree was a little confusing, otherwise really nice though. Glad your team is trying out new things!
Thanks for playing ^^, i kinda screwed the skill tree up. And i also messed up some UI part, i found it hard to use the control node someitmes
