Ooh, this was simple and fun imo. I was surprised very early on by a burly man, and then the second time I made it out, although very narrowly. I do notice, it looks like you may have run into the same issue I did when trying to get Unity to function within a true "pitch black" scene. Unity is a bit irritating in this, it keeps adding little lights and shadows in places that you may not want, sometimes only adding them at the last second when entering playmode. I had to do some research on this to achieve the darkness I really wanted in my game, and it still kept doing it on occasion. It was very irritating.
Also, I recently acquired and am playing through a free copy of Amnesia: the Bunker from the Epic store. A possible inspiration? A very smart one imo. Well done with this!
Thank you So Much for this Response .As you said i am improving the Lighting of my games.
Lighting is such a pain. Between that and navmesh setting up/baking, probably the most time sucking part of making a game imo. I spent like a whole day googling trying to find out why my scene was never truly dark. I think the final issue I ran into was that the game was doing a quick bake when I entered playmode, allowing some slight lights and shadows to sneak in. So I had to rig the scene up so that all the lights started turned off (including the point light attached to the player), and then were only activated once the game had started so their lights didn't get baked. I don't know if other engines are this picky with lights, but Unity irritated me with this one.
Really enjoyed the haunted TV-twist you brought in your game—it’s got a strong atmosphere and a clear sense of fun. I did notice a bug where the channel-switching overlay sometimes froze and didn’t respond to input, leaving me stuck for a moment. For a suggestion: adding a clear “next channel” icon or visual cue would help players figure out what to do when the overlay appears, especially during tense moments.
If you’ve got a moment, I’d love it if you checked out my game and dropped a rating: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977
— thanks so much and best of luck in the jam! 🎃
I had a really hard time seeing in most placed but maybe it's my monitor.
I really enjoyed the looking around feel in this, the way it kind of sways. Feels really nice and almost gives it a dreamy feel. Nice submission, I'm glad I tried it out! Well done!
controls worked fine and the ambient music was good. i wish there had been even a little bit of lighting or contrast or texture somewhere, but to be fair this is NOT a genre i enjoy playing so i dont really have a frame of reference for acceptable levels of "indiscernibility" as i am sure that is also sort of part of the point. I was also not sure of the tie in top the TV theme, but i also found iit hard to come up with a good tie in for ours.
still a good job and no bugs i noticed, which is more than most of us can say when doing a game jam game. If you get a chance could you please play and rate ours?

Nice 3d monster maze, Got killed by chainsaw guy then found key and exit in 2nd try. short but fun.
I appreciate the arm holding the lantern - and the physics you added to it. One little thing that would help is to have the item, like the key, disappear when picked up. I struggled a bit to confirm if I had in fact picked it up.
I have the impression that this game is rather exactly the result of the Youtube tutorial "How To Make A Horror Game In Unity From Start To Finish" by User1productions (CG81OmTgv-4), down to the chest models, the lamp, the chainsaw man and the sound. Only the post processing is different. And because I saw no hint of a TV reference, it misses the theme, in my opinion. Although the template is solid, here's nothing new or better than in the tutorial. But it may be the reason why this could be submitted after only 4 days. Well done, User1productions!
nice game! This really goes with the theme , the movements and the environment give tension and adds to the suspenseful gameplay. Keep it up!
The chainsaw man got me not that I saw him the first time the second time I found a lantern I picked up and then a key in a chest I could not pickup? then I found the exit and got out (I am guessing I had the key after all?)
Nice broody environment saw noises especially idle were a little repetitive.
cool game, i didn't seem to find the chainsaw man people were talking about and managed to leave through the exit without any problems
First try i ran into the chainsaw-man, secon try I found the Exit :)
It was scary, I never knew where he was.
