-Are the mechanics and controls clear and easy to understand?: Yes, very clear and easy. It is just my curiosity that made me drive fast, lol.

-Is the story engaging and compelling?: Yes, very compelling and I would like to see more of the game. When I stopped for the police officer, I would like to see different consequences for me when I drove past speed limit and not.

-Does the visual style capture your interest?: I like unique art style that aren't trends or main stream, and it is rare to see illustrations of well grown-up people which I like much. However, his open mouth is too black, is it possible to add some natural color?

-Did you get stuck at any point?: No, I played to the end. I just wonder if the radio was making sound? As a Deaf gamer, it would be nice to see sound description in brackets, for example [static radio sound ... ], so I can be sure that there are sounds and not voice saying something.

Well done, please keep developing this game!

Thanks for the order in your feedback, we apreciate it a lot. Yes, we need to add more interactions and concecuences about our actions in game in general and that "Police officer Scene" its a nice oportunity to do it.  We totally agree about adding sounds descriptions to the scene, we are going to add the option for it soon.  This is a really good feedback, good luck!

You did a really good job with the visuals.  The man's face was very expressive and did a great job conveying emotion.  I found the gameplay to be intuitive and figured out what to do fairly easily.  The story was intriguing and left me wanting more.

I think the music and SXF could use with slightly better balancing.  The music during the opening credits was loud enough that I needed to turn my volume down, but that made some of the SFXs and the voice hard to hear.  Being able to hear the voice feels important, particularly with the comment about not always trusting someone just because their voice is familiar.

I also would have liked to see your actions having a greater impact on the game.  Most notable was with the police officer, where the interaction was the same regardless of if you stopped right away or sped up first.  I think either having the officer say something different or having your character say something and not letting you speed would have made that scene flow better.

I think you have a really good start of a game here and a lot of potential to make this a fun, complete game.

Thanks you! We agree that SFX and music need balancing, the intro music is a bit too loud haha. Base in your feedback regarding the agency of the player interacting with the police officer we are planning to add just that! Maybe a condition or concecuence if you dont follow an order like "pull over", or something like that. Thanks again and good luck!

Very good visuals and controls. I got to the part where you ejected the tape, but now i don't know what to do. I fiddled around for a while, braking, speeding, cruising, switching between the glove box and the mirror but couldnt figure it out. What am I missing?

Developer

Thanks! You were so close to the finish! After you eject the tape, you need to click again in the tape comparment to introduce the new tape you found in the glove box. Good luck!

i think i somehow played the glove compartment tape first, because that’s the only one i remember interacting with. First thing i did was pick it up out of the glovebox and put it in the radio.

This was a great experience. I like the art style and it feels very unique! The radio tuning mechanic as primary gameplay was very intuitive and fun. Took me a moment to find and pickup the first radio button to proceed in the story, but the hint system (the notes) is well in place. The transition between scenes/perspectives felt also very natural. My only complaint is that the version is too short :D So I'm looking forward to play a longer version in the future. Good luck with the development! :)

Developer

Thanks you very much for playing the game and giving us feedback. Yes, it is really a short version but we are planning joining a new Jam to improve it a bit more and make it a little bit longer, thanks again and good luck for you too!

I got to the "Thanks for playing" screen, but the final dialogue warned not to trust the familiar, so I kept clicking, thinking there was more, because I didn't trust it. Haha.

The atmosphere and art style are very nice. The storytelling does a great job guiding the player on what to do next.

The knob mechanic threw me off at first. I expected a vertical drag rather than a circular rotation, but once I got it, it felt intuitive.

Good luck.

Developer

Hahaha, thanks you so much for your feedback, that post tittle screen would be a good addition to the game.

Very original and expressive visual style. It was short but enjoyable. I really liked how it all happens while driving a car. I guess you're planning to add different scenes but I'd love to see a longer game like this that only happens in car(s)

At first I didn't know what exactly to do but everything is eventually easy to figure out after a couple of clicks and reading the sticky notes.

Too bad it ends so quickly and the narrative didn't really fully unfold. It's more of a teaser that left me wanting for more.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! We're glad to read that about the visual style!

We could say it is a teaser indeed. We really want to keep developing, so I guess it's good to know it left you wanting more haha. We hope to have some updates soon. Thanks again for playing it and for the feedback!

Wow that was great! First of all, great visual style. The moving face and eyes was a really good touch. I found the story engaging and the mechanics and controls fun. I wanted to play more when it was over! Would you say this is the opening of the game? Somewhere in the middle of the story? I am curious as to how you approach it. I would have liked, later in the game, more mechanics, I feel like seeing how else you will use the different windows is part of the fun of the game. Very clever idea with the radio. If you stick to this art style (and please do) I might just suggest using outlines more consistently.  Good luck!

Developer

Thank you so much! Your comment motivates us a lot and is an incredible feedback!

At the moment, we think this would be the beginning of the game, but it's not entirely defined yet, and since we have a ton of ideas for other windows, we definitely need to sit down and define some things so we don't get sidetracked (at least not too much, a little can be good haha).

Great advice about consistency in art, we'll definitely take it!

I really love the visuals. Looks really different than all the other games. The interface is very intuitive, so no worries. It is actually lovely to use, even on iPad (that allthough not supported just works). The font used is it a bit standard, would choose a more ‘in-game’ font. Game play is very casual and I like that!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! This comment really makes us happy and motivates us to move forward with the game.
About the font, it is certainly the default one, we definitely need to find one that fits the style!
Thanks again!

It was a bit unexpected but I quite enjoyed the game.
The only thing that bothered me was the sounds that are played while text appears on screen.
It either needs a voice over or to be removed entirely (changed to a keyboard sound). In my opinion ofc.

Some settings for volume control could also be nice.

Good job! Its certainly a game I would keep playing.

P.S. The dev log its a bit lite, but I guess that's fine

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it! A voice over dialogues is definitely an option we consider adding in the future.

Good to know you'd keep playing the game! And yes, we put much more effort into the game itself than into the devlog, miscalculation with time, our bad.
