This is super slick looking and feels quality. Game play is simple but fun and engaging. I know the look is simple 2 color but the odd bit of extra color to show something special might be nice. Well done for a quality Jam game.

No, No and No. LUL I got down to 1 twice... and I may have called you some unsavoury names

I loved this and looks great, sounded great and was really fun

One of the comments previous spoke about expanding, a suggestion might be (ignoring the obvious just make the grid bigger) would be to maybe have like a bug or bird or something come and turn your roses into dead roses so you need to click on them before they attack your roses

But overall Loved the entry, imma keep trying to win

Developer

Thank you! For a fun suggestion especially.

I finally won, 2:30...

Thank you for sticking around longer than most would. 2:30 is a very decent result. Cheers.

This was so cozy, and I'm so surprised to see it was made in Svelte! Great entry, and thanks for the vibes. I liked the core mechanic here and would like to see some variety of themes via different plants from different biomes. Like a winter theme, jungle theme, ocean theme, etc. If you plan on expanding this, of course.

Developer

Thank you, interesting feedback. With different biomes it won’t be a “rose garden” anymore, of course. But I may think of a new design.

Very polished and well implemented puzzle game. The art style is lovely and this is a game ii would happily come back to for a spot of casual gaming. Do you have plans to expand the game?

Developer

Thank you. Do you have suggestions for expanding the game? I like to keep things simple and, as you said, casual.

I couldn't stop clicking! I was trying to imagine everything in color and you made a great choice so nice looking!

Developer

Thank you. Unfortunately, I cannot respond in kind by playing your game, since it requires an account and an app. :(

Hey no problem. I wanted to try something different with that one. But you can play my other browser game if you like. If not don't worry I never play and rate a game expecting them to play mine.

Nice and relaxing, quite enjoyed beating my own time. The music flows nicely within the game. I wish I would have noticed the counter at the bottom for the individual plants earlier as it really helped to keep me from panicking.
Def marking this to come back and play as a quick break.

Developer

Thank you.

Very coheceive project to unwind, cosy, relaxing and the elegance is inviting to forget the outside world for a minute or two while selecting flowers.

As good as the game and overall aesthetics (visuall, animations and music and sfx) are, the theme is not fulfilled.

Thank you for playing and reviewing. But… “the theme is not fulfilled”? I’m sorry, are we in the same jam? Weeds taking over a man-made rose garden, and you, the gardener, fighting them—that does not match the “Man vs Nature” theme?

Oh yeah, riiight! Now I get it. When I think about twice this makes sense, you're right. But I had to think twice, so my point stands. Does not chance the fact that it is a good game.

That reminds me of a joke:

– We don’t want you in our house anymore.
– Why???
– After your last visit, some silverware went missing.
– But we have nothing to do with it!!!
– Of course. We found the missing silver eventually, but an unpleasant aftertaste still remained.

Surely you can overlook the glazing I did on your game and focus on me pointing out the theme is barely touched.

Developer (1 edit)

Well, I did thank you for the review. But your doubling down on an admittedly invalid point makes it difficult to focus on anything else.

Nice match game. Very relaxing sounds against a nerve wracking search for a match. Stupid roses. Great job!

Neat art style, satisfying sounds. :)
