Nice work! I think everyone else has raised some valid points so I won't rehash them - but I'll be honest and say this is a really great attempt. Jams always have lessons to teach, and you've done some epic work here. I hope you continue with it ;)

What a great first Jam project. Great use of assets. The game was a little confusing to grasp so would benefit from a tutorial I think. Great to see an entry from you in the Jam and it's a great start to a fun project, I hope you get the chance to spend some more time on this and make it into an even nicer project. Well done :)

This is a great start. However, if you'll allow for some constructive criticism, I think the Main Menu had too much time spent even though it looked really cool. Good work!

Developer

Well the menu was an asset purposely so I didn't spend much time at all on it ;) (mentioned in the credits) Thank you for your time.

Great job friend!

I think I am just no good at survival games. This seems like a solid effort at this genre but I always seem to be dying in these games. A small tutorial or some clear instructions on what to do would really benefit someone like me (old). Sorry I cannot really give you much more feedback than that. Maybe you could post some instructions so I can have another go.

Developer

Unfortunately, things started to unravel late in development. The crafting recipes are in there, but you cant see them due to a UI issue. The system that delivers the hints and directions broke along the way - and with it, the event triggers that drive inventory updates and progression. It turned into a cascade of failures: broken events led to broken inventory, which disrupted the entire crafting flow. I simply ran out of time to untangle it all before the jam ended. I'm incredibly grateful for your time, feedback and support.

Great job for your first game. Some instructions and help would go far getting people into the game.

You're absolutely right: a bit of guidance would go a long way. I had a tutorial and hint system, but those ended up breaking late in development along with some of the crafting and event logic. It just became a big mess. Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words. Also thank you for your time.
