I love the artstyle and the storybook fairytale theme you have there! I also intrigued by Penelope and her future relationship with the crow and Amanita (love her design).

Really well done entry! I love the softness of your colors, and the colored linework (especially the more purple tones) work wonderfully and makes the more gruesome moments stand out even more viscerally as a result. Also well done on the horrifying descriptions of breakfast - that was extremely unpleasant, in a way that was incredibly impressive. I'm intrigued to see where the story will go from here - looking forward to future releases!

Congrats to the whole team!!

Such a cute art style! I liked the character designs, and even if Amanita is kinda creepy, her design is my favorite to stare at! The story was unique and a cool twist on a lot of classic stories. It reminded me of Hansel and Gretel, obviously, but it didn't take that twist I was expecting. Great job!

Beautiful character designs I was so captivated by the little mushroom :)

Really enjoyed the story and music, the atmosphere in this game felt both spooky and cute to me at the same time, which is a thing I love in media <3 Great job!

I need more!

Oh gosh, I love it. I really do. I had me had me at mushroom girl but also a talking crow, yes! Just the right mixture of cute and absolute horror. The visual are so pretty and oh the music! Damn this flesh house was disturbing. The eating scene, wow you really went there. Also really beautiful UI. The whole team did an amazing job.

Thank you for making this. I really need the full game!

Sylvan is back again! Loved the fairytale energy of the game and how mushroomy Penelope feels.  I like how Penelope is an unreliable narrator and you can't tell whether she was hallucinating about Amanita. She seems to be going through it and I wonder if the mycelium got her brain (this is me being funny not insult). There's a lot of mystery and I hope to see the final story soon :3c

Randomly: Me and friend argued whether she was mushroom or she was wearing a hat throughout the playthrough only to end in my defeat. We're also thinking grandpa is the crow. There could be a chance that necromancy is a thing and it'd be funny if Amanita and Mom is connected somehow.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game Archeia!!! Penelope being described as mushroomy is unexpected, but I can definitely see it...

That being said, we're working to finish this soon!!

Super atmospheric and creepy. Feels like Over the Garden Wall meets Binding of Isaac. Character design and music both excellent :)

This game was really nice and I was really excited to see sylvan some back this year again!!

The artstyle for this was great, I especially liked the little border around everything and the scroll textbox, it really made me feel like this whole game was a story book. The characters were also nicely designed, the creepy lady is my favourite :D The story was just the right amount of dark for me!!

You guys did so good with this!

I am genuinely tricked by the art! You really managed to make something that looks cute spooky XD Too bad it's just a demo, would love to see the full version!

Love the art and the aesthetic. The story, the music, and the atmosphere are immersive. Amanita is especially terrifying. I guess cute art does not equal cute story. I hope Penelope, that poor girl, will be okay...

Developer

WAHH thank you so much Altila!!! I too hope that Penelope will be okay by the end of this story...

Developer
