" Secondly, if you urgently need to contact the staff, as stated in the rules at the beginning of this section, you should post your support ticket number, as the moderator can then bring attention to that ticket."

As I said in the OP, I did not receive one as no one replied to my emails to support@itch.io (unless I'm missing something about support tickets). What IS the best way to contact the staff? As I said, I'm almost out of ideas for where to reach them. Is there a discord or something? This is a great website and I'm a big fan, so I'm surprised to find the staff so unreachable. I understand there's some major stuff they're dealing with right now, but it takes like, a second to respond to an email and just say "message received we're working on it, here's your support ticket #' or whatever. Could in fact probably be automated.

Anyway, I will try to get butler working. I wasn't sure if it would get around the size limit, but now that I know it does, I'll figure out how to run it from the command line (I'm hesitant to attempt that kind of stuff, but I can figure it out). So thanks for that suggestion, Hechelion.

When you contact support, you should receive an automated reply with your ticket number within a few minutes.
Check your spam folder; if you don't find anything there, try contacting support again (there was a recent issue with Itch.io's email system).

If you still don't receive a response, it's best to write a new post, but be sure to mention that you haven't received the automated reply with your ticket number, and asks the moderator if they can report this to the staff.
When you say you haven't received a response, the most common assumption is that no staff member has replied to your case, but that you have received the automatic reply. Please, I'm not trying to start a semantic debate; I'm simply explaining how people express themselves on the forum and why this might cause confusion.

There is a Discord server that you can find here:
