When you contact support, you should receive an automated reply with your ticket number within a few minutes.
Check your spam folder; if you don't find anything there, try contacting support again (there was a recent issue with Itch.io's email system).
If you still don't receive a response, it's best to write a new post, but be sure to mention that you haven't received the automated reply with your ticket number, and asks the moderator if they can report this to the staff.
When you say you haven't received a response, the most common assumption is that no staff member has replied to your case, but that you have received the automatic reply.
