How does the game fit the theme?
The goal of the game is to earn as many cookies as possible. If you fail, you get a choice to either stay the same or double the rewards and double the risk. If you fail again, you will lose twice as many life seals. This risk and reward progress grows exponentially every time you die and chose to risk it.
In short, it is basically, a choice between playing it safe and having more life seals or risking it for potentially more cookies and fewer life seals.

Awesome game. My high score was 42 cookies. The visuals and the audio made the experience quite eerie. The red buzzing lines above and below the text were a good touch.

I really wish there was a moment where they said like 'lets make this a little more interesting' and then some wacky stuff starts happening, but obviously scope is important in a jam.
10/10 sounds by the way, it's subtle but the sounds the cups make are perfect.

Game was pretty fun! after 10 you cannot tell where the cup you were originally looking at even went but I was able to collect 5 more and then died to the curse, pretty successful if you ask me xD

Hey it's my first game jam too! Gotta say the vibes are super cool, yeah its like Inscryption of course, but also all the runes are super intriguing too. Honestly the "risk" didn't feel super clear to the player at first, like why not just keep playing?
Yeah. The risk factor is a bit lacking. I realise it now.... I have a few ideas on how to proceed with it. But... Oh well, perhaps next time. Thankyou for playing.
Insanely good atmosphere, I love the Inscryption vibes of this game so much :D When I first saw the screenshots I immediately knew I'll have fun with this game :D I kinda expected at the end to start in an other dimension with my collected cookies as currency or something, that would be kinda sick.

Damn I felt like Gon in the coin scene playing this it was aweome xD I managed to get 16 cookies and had 2 morelives but I felt like I couldn't track it precisely anymore! Also loved the ambience, really good game!
