The crate mechanic was a really interesting take on the theme and I found myself engaging with it a lot (actually skipping certain crates instead of just opening every single one I found). The visuals and sound effects give it a nice retro feel too!
"The crate label says 'missiles'" - I open it and missiles come out and hit me... hahahahaahahaha!!😂
I enjoed my experience with the game! Love that you can get different weapons!
The turret puzzles are also very nice, you really have to be aware of the surroundings! A game that requires skills, aim and attention! good job on this one! 💪💪

WOW this one is incredible! Cant believe it has so little reviews! There is a LOT of variety for a jam game, i was on my third try and i was still finding new stuff to play around with in the chests, there are also a ton of enemies with very different move sets, all a pleasant surprise! Art looks great and the sound is very good! You really fit the theme with the gambling chests! The last boss was tricky! Those lasers tracked your next position like crazyyyy hardest move it had you basically had to come in with health to tank it, definetly a bit overtuned on the laser speed. Congratulations on submitting such an incredible game!
The boss's laser attack is straight up unfair lol. A lot of people told me and I can't help but agree... well I guess I'll fix it post jam if I keep working on the project. Anyway I'm so glad that you enjoyed the game this much! Thanks a lot for playing <3
The game was fun and the difficulty well balanced, the chests provided enough gambling that made the gameplay exciting and challenging. I would have liked to see the rechange time on the gun as a loading bar or something similar. Other than that I actually liked it!

It's funny, I liked the fly that flies around my head (it fell out of my drawer), but I can't say that the game is easy, despite all its fun, it was quite difficult to pass it. Mechanics with a luck level are a cool thing, well done

I went through the game to the end, and not the first time (the minigun is very strong). I liked the idea of luck when opening chests, which can be used or saved further. The levels and opponents are interesting, the first time I lost because of a monster that fired homing projectiles. I liked the game, I wish you good luck in further development!

I liked the idea but generally opening chests is more fun than not opening chests so it’s kind of a lot to ask us to avoid doing it until we think we’ll get a good outcome? The basic gameplay is solid and I appreciated the variety in room types. The final boss definitely could use more telegraphing on his dash and imo when the beam sound plays it’s that moment the beam attack should be targeting the players (calculated, future) position, instead it seems there’s a bit of a lag after that where it still tracks and that’s confusing. The music could’ve used a little bit more direction to it but it worked. I think it was fun overall even if the fundamental conceit didn’t quite land for me. Good work though! :)
The boss's attacks are actually pretty unfair, I noticed that and will definitively fix it if I keep working on the project. As for the crates I never thought about that, but I do understand your point of view and I will probably try to do something about it aswell. It's a very solid game, the mechanics are very polished and it's fun to play, good job.
I got really close 3 times but couldn't beat the boss. Very fun game overall! I think it could really use a dash though. Some of the bosses attacks felt really hard to dodge. I did really like the bullet hell section. I also like the variation of the enemy AI, they all have their unique style. Great job!

I honestly think the difficulty is right on! At least for my taste. I just felt like I didn't really have an option at times against the boss is all, that's why I mentioned the dash. Congrats again!

It's kinda difficult at the start, but when you get the hang of it, it becomes quite addicting!
