My first run I played absolutely horribly, but my second run, I got to over 200 gold before I had to stop myself! I could absolutely see myself sinking super deep into this game. Big +1 to the person who mentioned this could work as a mobile game—I think it’d do really well!
A little difficult to understand the mechanics, I'm still confused with the numbers, but somehow, I managed to get to year 4. The art and audio are also very good, I think a slightly more detailed tutorial on the game page would already solve it!
At first I was a bit confused about the merchant's movement, but once I was able to get a good run going, it was a really addictive and satisfying game! :)
i like the concept! could benefit from a tutorial and/or an indication of how the merchant will move before they do, even if movement is randomized.
Felt really hard and didn't know what the numbers meant, but could be a skill issue (I never play strategy games). Concept is really cool though and the art is nice!
Damn that game is really hard. Random routes and the fact you cannot chose a previous place to start make it really difficult.
Anyway, I really like the concept and it could be a great puzzle game with just few modifications.
Well done!
Interesting idea! I feel like it was a tad bit difficult to strategize given the random routes merchants take (especially as the number of roads increase), but still solid entry, well done :D
The art is just the cherry on top of an already great game! I didn't really understand what would give you more gold than other things, but I somehow managed to survive many winters
Very unique take on the theme, I love the idea of having to optimize a road network (and as an italian developer, I really liked the roman reference!). The artwork is also very pretty and fitting, as is the music. Trying to create a balanced city was fun, but I would have preferred to have a little more control on how the merchant moved to properly plan its routes. The idea has potential though, keep at it!
I like the music, visuals, and game atmosphere. The games rules feels a bit random, and I did not totally understand what was happening.
I really liked the concept of the random walk for the travelling merchant.
I think there's a gem in this concept where the player is hand-held through the first year so they can better understand the base mechanics. Perhaps there can be (rare?) buildings available in later levels that manipulate where the merchant goes?
I love this entryy! Nice fit of the theme, love the artstylke also, great job!
The coziest game I've ever seen
Great time-waster! And it's so fun simulating the growth of my town! Keep up the great work!
fun cozy game!
