Now I have to give excuses to @Draeth_Place and tryhard to find that eight burger because this game is genuinly awesome. Looping platforming level that goes quicker and quicker is looping design on itself as difficulty increases as the number of laps increase while at the same time give a sense of speedrunning.
Also the backflip feeling is ace tier.

Honest question, how did you make those animations?

the animations are all made in Piskel by _SapphireWorks! the backflip feels complex in motion, but it's actually just a pretty basic spinning animation being rotated around.

mhm, helps that I've been making these kinds of character animations for... god at least five years at this point

i find it therapeutic so it's become a sort of autopilot task for me

This… is just… freaking incredible. I’ve never spent this much time in a jam game before. IT’S INSANELY DYNAMIC!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The animations are top-tier, and the gameplay is absolutely through the roof!! No words—just pure emotion.

Well… I think I actually enjoy this better than Sonic games! :P Mostly because I don't have played very much. But the issue of hitting every walls and playing slowly on a first Sonic run is here solved by the mechanics of laps! It's very satisfying to learn nooks of a level and getting to master it. The level design can be tricky at time, but present interesting challenge. And the last level is totally on point! Although I'm glad there is an easy mode, because the normal one is already brutal! I couldn't beat even level 1 on it.

Great work on the art and audio too! The character animations are impressive, especially for movements like turning back, wall jump, etc… It gives great feedback. And the music sound absolutely like they escape from a Sonic. Congrats for such a great job!
