Yo! I already give my thoughts on stream (and the votings are about to end), but it was a cool chill puzzle game. The only nitpick is having to wait for the clock to roll, but that's the only thing, really.
If you want to check it out again, here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2534593080
I was confused at first too but I think that was really well executed for a game jam! you must have spent a long time on all the art! It really payed off though I really enjoyed this! Great work!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Should probably start by saying I'm not exactly a point and click guy so my judgement might be a bit off as I don't know how these kind of games are usually designed, but while I struggled a bit to figure it out (and didn't have enough time to finish it on stream) I can totally see the sheer amount of care and quality that went into making this. Every single piece of clue doubles as a narrative clue as well. The onboarding with the times on the candles is a good enough way to teach the mechanics to the player, albeit I still struggled a little bit to figure out the mechanics after it due to how cryptic some of the clues are (it is a mystery game, that might kind of the point), I did eventually get to solving quite a few of them one by one. The artstyle is just pristine and totally the highlight here. The clock being the main mechanic to solve all the clues is very cool in theory, there might be some frustration when you try and fail to figure out one of the clues and you're not forced to wait for the clock to do a full loop to try again, but you could justify that as a punishment for failing. Not my cup of tea but absolutelly a very polished and memorable game I got quite a bit of enjoyment out of exploring, especially with its incredibly good art and narrative!
Wow!! This is so beautiful :o
bomb art saw on stream. streamer didnt give you more love than it shouldve.
Nice game but not me partly because I'm an idiot oh and some objects you can just click for a minute and that just works without the riddle
The art in this is wonderful. As is the music, but I feel that sound effects, particularly for getting something right, would really help. Nice font too, btw. Clicking on an object at the correct time would just lead to people clicking them every hour. This seems to be something you realised, given the tutorial features having to click twice.
The note, attached to the plant, isn't readable.
thank you! and yeah i agree, sound effects are planned for the future, including a sound when a loop and or hour passes, i think for the single click ghost objects i might add a feature that makes then unclickable for at least an hour
as for the plant it was made into a ghost object after it's art was done and getting two hitboxes that close seemed like a bad idea
The game has a creative concept, I did enjoy it while playing. I would really like to see this game being expanded in the future. Love the art style!
Very cute style, unfortunately I had issues to progress :( after the clock puzzle I got stuck, in windows version it was not fully clear to me what is the goal
Would be nice to have a option to make the clock rotate faster. I also want to point out another flaw: In case someone misses the number, they need to wait 1 entire iteration to get a new chance. I like the mystery/puzzle aspect of the game, but make sure to make the gameplay more exiting/fix these flaws (and also fix the crash in the web version) .
