Great game!

Loved the art and the music.

Really good concept for the loop subject

Fighting your past self is a cool idea, but I do think the execution is off a bit. I can quite consistently just spam shoot the pink guy without losing, so the game is just doing that over and over. If there was a score system or progression of some kind that made continuing the fight more interesting I would try again but as it stands, the gameplay loop isn't very strong. Love the art and music though, presentation is on point, great job!

fighting your own inputs has a good potential (i did the same thign too lol). though imo the enemy is too weak. its dps is lower and i can always do my moves so that i get no damage from them

Really cool game idea, reminded me of Psycho Mantis from metal gear :D

 fun idea for bossfight.
Until I read the page, I thought that the Pink Wizard was getting bigger and bigger - it was a feature of the game, like it was filled with magic and it should explode. but when he filled half the screen, I was overcome with doubts.

Another of the bugs is related to that. that if you die, and the enemy is in his central place, he will start repeating his inputs from the point where he was when you died. In most cases, he just goes and shoots at the wall.,

Cool game, the presentation is well done

but it kinda loses it's charm pretty fast when you play slower and the pink wizard  moves less as well

but i feel it has some potential

i think if the player had some motivation to move and shoot other than the pink wizard they would be a bigger threat

i like the bouncing projectiles and large hitboxes making up for the fact that the pink wizard can't aim toward the player

also i think in the movement code you are using Input.GetAxis instead of Input.GetAxisRaw, i made a small top down test game and got the same floaty movement with only GetAxis, GetAxisRaw fixed it

Thank you for the comment!

Yes, exploring this new idea presented us with some challanges, and finding ways to keep the game intresting after the player plays very simple is one we still think about!

Really cool game! I like that the bullets bounce off walls, it helps prevent cheesing the enemy. The artwork, sounds, and tutorial are all awesome. Great job!

The bouncing bullets work well for this idea. Fun overall. The pink wizard ended up filling half the room by the end.

The artwork is amazing! It's nice there's a whole scene witht he hero and villain explaining the game. The shooting and scoring works, but I figured out a strategy pretty quick that works every time: just press w to go up a big and then shoot down. The opposite guy will do the same and miss, and you can easily shoot him. So after a while it was not very fun anymore, just repeating the same inputs without any particular goal.

But I think the idea has potential, you could for example make the boss mirror you in different ways (literally horizontally or vertically mirrored), they could use obstacles, or bounce projectiles off walls.

Thank you for the feedback and we're glad you enjoyed!

We had a great time exploring the idea of repeating inputs, and looking for solutions for making many diffrent ways to play!
