There's no official information yet. Please wait. Edit: our admins have said refunds will be issued.

okay but when, and how ? Is every nsfw game going to be refunded ? When ? How are refunds going to be issued ? Through the original payment method ? What if the payment methods expired ?

Can we get some additional information about refunds ?

I doubt it's possible to say anything for certain at this time. Everyone's in damage control mode. It's going to take a while until we have more answers.

What's the best way to contact an administrator or manager? This is unacceptable behavior from a public company. Un-American.

If I'm issued a refund that I didn't ask for, I'll be (somehow) even more mad.

It ain't the money. It's the cowardice.

think about it this way. They could have chosen to not treat the payment processor threats as serious, and the whole site could have been possibly brought down (either by vias/mastercard suit or the inability to pay for servers due to the two payment processors pulling out) Would you have been more happy about that end result?

Crazy part is some of these people genuinely would be

So how does that work for game creators? If our game gets taken down and refunds issued, do we get fucked with a massive bill for those refunds?

I would assume that itch.io would provide refunds to those who can prove that they no longer have access.

Yeah, I don't trust a company not to try and force the refunds back on the creators. When the games were sold, they were allowed to be on the site. If they decide that a game should be removed retroactively due to a change in the rules, the financial hit for all the refunds should not come from the creators. But we know that's exactly what will happen.

itch admin and creator is going by the stance that they still have access unless they don't anymore. Here is an example of removed access to a game's downloads
