Where in the western plains is the broken key part? I'm also having some trouble with the other quests on my list.
A SFW turned based rpg with a heavy focus on transformation. · By
The western key part is in the beach area, near one of the fields. The is a small easy to miss path.
Both tf episodes are tied to the broken key quest.
Was researching part two the search for ancient stone tablets? If so you know which ancient stone tablets did you find?
Was the mermaid quest to find the rare sea shell? If so it is underwater. If i remember correctly the south-western plains.
I dont know from the name allone what quest of collection and demon hunt were. Would need to see the quest description to tell.
Also hope this is at least some good starting help with the quest. Feel free to ask more!
Fot the hints:
Sorry i do not know them just based on the hint numbers, would need the hint text as well to know.
One is most likley for the one episode you have still open i assume?
Rabbit currently is the only party member with a transformation. So you not missing them.
That are is a secret area and 100% completely optional to the game so i wont spoil the answer. But for a hint: With a bit of "luck" a npc in the snow town might give you a nudge towords the solution
Hey! came up to say that i really love the game so far, but i have a question regarding the heroine (The ice castle boss), at what level are you suppose to fight her? her fight was really tough (Especialy instakill attacks) with party of 25 lvled characters (Nana as sheep, Kitsune(I forgot her name) and Rabbit) i had to use nearly all of my phoenix feathers and party potions to beat her.
First of all, thanks, glad to hear you enjoying the game so far^^
As for your question: I would say the recommend level is around 30 to 35. Most of the dungeons can be done in any order but that one is considered one of the later/ harder ones. So good job on beating her with only level 25!
She definitely has some hard hitting attacks. The first insta kill attack she uses in the first turn is more like a puzzle or gimmick. The intended solution is to use a skill that gives "Withstand Lethal Dmg" while having a high hostility on the character who uses it. Some skills that can lower her accuracy also can help a lot.
I'm very sorry to hear that-_-
From googling this error I learned, it seems system related and not the game itself. This crash also could happen when your pc can't get a certain piece of information.
There are various possibilities which could have caused it so I unfortunately can't help you at the moment. The only thing I am pretty certain of is that it is not a "normal" crash due to a game bug which is why I having a hard time understanding the cause for it.
If you have any other computer you can use, try playing the game on there and see if it works and not crashes. That would help me a lot to figure out the problem and give you a solution to fix it for you.
I also will look into it and see if that crash happens to someone else as well!
Which operating system do you use?
How long until it usually crashes?
Did you played some of the earlier version? If so do they also crash?
Did you import a save or started up fresh?
Luckly not!
You're pc might be just too new or good, I heard windows 10 and 11 in combination with some graphic cards can cause problems in rpg maker mv games.
But in this case, it might be a folder that was created then starting the game. This folder can corrupt in very special circumstances causing the game to crash. If this would be the problem it should not happen when trying to play it on a different computer. This folder also can be manually delete which would solve it but that folder is pretty complicated to find. And I also can't say to 100% that this is the bug, it's just the best guess that I currently have.
No one else so far has reported this bug which would could point towards either no one else encountered it, or whoever may encountered it never reported it. So i unfortunately also have no other leads to look into it. I also ask a friend if they could play the version 1.1.0 for a few hours to see if their game also crashes after some time.
Every battle also should have music I think. If a music file would be missing you would get a differnt error that said something like: "Can't find (Music Name) file. Click restart to try again."
If you remember which battle it was I certainly can look and double check of course!
On a small side note, if you should have transferd your save date from a earlier verion did you interact witha safe flame at least once, it sets some triggers right but I doubt that would be the cause of this bug but I thought I might throw that in.
Also save date from the Demo Version also isn't compatible, just to root out some possible other causes I can think about.
I'm very sorry that your experience ended like this-_-
I see, might be true then. Test playing on my end also did not showed up any crashes yesterday.
You mean one crash afterplaying for 10 hours straight without break? If so that is a memory leak and can happen sometimes in games if they run for a very long time without turning the game off.
But on a brighter note, congrats on beating the game! I hope you had a enjoyable time with it^^
questions about TFs and the future of the game:
First and foremost i love this game its got a lot of charm and i hope to see more from you in the future! My main question in related to TFs; particularly how you get them and bad ends. Is there going to be more band ends for the other forms or even multiple bad ends for forms that already have them, or are you already done with the game and moving on to the next project? i was also wondering if you would ever consider "remastering some TF introductions/bad ends to be more in line with the golden retriever bad end where there are more visuals showing the transformation happening in real time rather than just some flavor text and a final image. the GR TF is BY FAR my favorite because of not only the bad end but the art as well so i would be elated if there could be more like it in the future. i think the rabbit TF especially would benefit from visually showing the transformation progress just like the GR. in that in shows just how far nana is changing, the flavor text for most of the bad ends would only need minor tweaks to go with the updated visuals and it would go a long way in making finding all the bad ends even more fun!
overall i enjoy this game dearly and cant wait to see more from you! Ive been following youre art a long time and cant wait to see whats next!
First of all, thanks a lot, glad to hear you enjoyed your time with the game^^
As for your questions: For now I'm done with the game but I would like to return to the game in the distant future to add and adjust more things. There is a new project I am wanting to work on so that will have priority, which will be shared soon. I am currently in the process to setting the itch page for the game up. It will be a roguelite tf game. Whenever that new project is done I definitely would like to return to this game and add more stuff. There are serveral idea I had to cut, of which I would like to bring good ones back.
As for the bad endings, The reason they are so different are is mainly that I was experimenting with various styles on how to make them. The golden retriever ending was by far the longest one to make because of the extra art. I definitely would like to add more bad endings but they all would be most likley much shorter and simpler than the GR one. Or maybe their will be longer ones, hard to say currently.
As for remastering tf's, if a form feels to weak i definitely would adjust it, did that serveral times in the past. So if you have one form in mind that could need rebalance feel free to mention it.
In the beginning forest is a secret shop that gives hints on all the tf location, just bad ends have no hints.
I am not sure if I ran into a bug or what but while doing the Sea monster TF I fought the monster kraken and beat it. I then was able to transform again, however if I left the temple via the underwater route Melia starts talking about going north until we reach the city. It is after this that I get soft locked in the temple because I am no longer able to transform. I can't get out of the water because the mermaid form is locked. Also if after defeating the monster kraken I go back and leave through the main entrance I can talk to Melia (at the first place you meet her) and it just says "Great thinking. But this part is not in the demo." I am currently playing on the (1.1.0).7z version so it should be the full game.
On a different note I am not sure exactly when it started but recently whenever I run into an enemy the battle happens twice and I have to defeat 2 enemy encounters for ever one I run into. This only happens with the regular enemy and not the bosses fortunately.
Thanks that is good to know, will look into it.
It sounds like the mermaid tf story is uncompleted for some reason.
Which should not be possible since mermaid needs to be done first.
You did complete the mermaid tf before I assume?
Yeah that text comes from Melia if you enter the mermaid town area for the first time.
The text is a left over from the first demo, in the full game you never could meet Melia up there in the Sea Monster Form so there was no reason to cut the text.
This is normal but only should happen in the northern plains. Ther you always fight two waves of enemies. If it happens in any otehr area that would be not intended. Where did it happened to you?
Thank you so much for this update I was able to continue and keep playing. I am still a little confused on how to do the mermaid quest regularly because the only way I can get to the mermaid city is by the mermaid tower and whenever I talk to Melia it only restores TP. I am not sure if this is due to the fact that I found Melia after unlocking the mermaid form.
Also, did some testing and I get the two encounters everywhere after teleporting out of the northern plains. But after leaving through the city and teleporting into the northern plains I would only get one encounter.
Glad to hear it worked and I could help^^
Normally you need to be in mermaid form and then speak to her, this will trigger the quest. It isn't enought just to have unlocked it you also need to be in that form. I think you till should be able to trigger it if you want to see the dialogue, it should not softlock your game but will remove your exp shards and teammates, so better spend them before trying it since you already completed the quest.
It also should now be impossible to get into the same softlock as you did as well.
I see, then I probaly only forgot to disable it when leaving the area through teleportation, will fix that as well, thanks for noticing!
I have just finished most of the game and enjoyed every second but have a few questions to fully finish.
1. I can't find the last shattered world fragment, based on the photos I am pretty sure I am missing the one in the north by the sunken coin quest which leads me to believe that this is related to the sunken coin quest...
2. I also can't find the last sunken coin I found the one by the mermaid village, in the park, by the ranch, in the southern plains. I am feel like the last coin is either right in front of the quest giver because I can't get there or it is in the frozen tundra but I am blind and can't find it.
3. Impossible Request: this one might just be impossible but when I go back to the house where the fox and the Fuwa plush girl where no one is there.
4. Is there a phoenix related demon I haven't looked to hard but noticed I haven't found one.
5. Any hints on how to fix smartphone because I haven't found anything.
6. I have unlocked the Ascended Kitsune but was wonder if there was a way to get the Dark Kitsune in the same playthrough.
7. After getting the collecting cards is there a way to view them.
Finally just some notes
1. In the travel journal after collecting the world fragment in the frozen tundra the red dash didn't change to a check. There are some other cases of this in side quests but I think the the main quest is important so I don't get confused on which world fragments I have.
2. The Choosen One (I think it should be Chosen One) there is a place holder objective.
3. Hint 18 and 21 stay in your inventor even after getting the corresponding TF's.
Glad to hear you had fun with the game : )
And to answer your question:
1 & 2. You're right on that assumption, it only can be gotten after finsihing that quest. There are actually two coins in the mermaid city. There is a hole you can enter with mouse form. You probably missing that I assume.
3. I assume you accepted the request at the guild but she isn't there, that would be quite odd. I think I did found the problem, will fix that in the next patch, thanks!
4. Yes but it is pretty much impossible to find. It is in the volcano behind one of the stone pillars^^"
5. After you have unlocked a certain transformation you can go back into that high tech place, in there you can find a sparkling spot on one of the machines.
6. Yes but only in ng+, there you can get both. In the first playthorugh you only can get one.
7. Yes, there is a card collection app, you get it in the casino.
As for bugs:
1 & 2 & 3. Thanks will fix that! And good to know, will also fix that. And also will take care of them!
Feel free to me if you should encounter more bugs or have feedback!
A very satisfying experience. Been following the game for a year and thoroughly enjoyed sinking the hours into it. Just had a few thoughts I wanted to share on my way out.
Requiring the salamander exclusively to enter the west part of the endless desert threw me for a loop. I had found the dragon by that point and couldn't understand why the desert was too hot even in dragon form. some kind of hint that you need to be salamander, or having Dragon also be able to cross would have saved me around 45 minutes of wandering around and heat resist testing.
The broken key fragment in the western plains was a little too well hidden. Maybe I'm a smooth brain, but I spend around 2 to 3 hours alone trying to find the key and happened to find it entirely by accident. Bush hiding it plus the fog effect on the map just made it very difficult to see and the grind was very much not a fun experience. To be fair, the reward is optional, but when you are nearing the end of the game, you start pulling any threads that might be the progress. Any kind of hint in the game, even an NPC that mentions seeing a dull blue box on the western coast of the plains would do a lot to cut down that hunt.
I don't know if it applies to other hints, but hint 18 and hint 21 did not remove themselves from the inventory. I assume the one mentioning the forest on the edge of the frost plains is the snow owl, and I assume the volcano hint is the dragon but unlike other hints I used those didn't remove themselves. Maybe there are 2 very well hidden forms I didn't find to complete the game, I've tried to not spoil myself too hard, but if my guess is right those hints probably shouldn't be there. Spent a few good hours combing over the entire frost plain looking for some different forest, and combed the forest as well to make sure I didn't miss anything and didn't have any luck. Same with the volcano
Overall the game is well paced. The first quest has a lot to be desired though. There aren't a lot of options and most enemy groups can beat you down after only one fight, requiring running back to the shrine and heal up which drags the beginning out and dull the experience. After you beat rabbit and get your first party member, the world opens up and gives you access to a large number of combat options and level grinding new forms outside of their tutorials are easier since your party keeps growing. Having a less time consuming way to heal in the southern plains in that early part of the game would help cut down on the grind, especially if you're trying hard mode.
Not wanting the review to seem all negative, like I said I had a very enjoyable experience outside of a few problematic movements and enjoyed my time very much. Thanks for sharing your vision with the world and giving me many hours of enjoyable puzzle solving.
First of all thanks a lot for the game till the end, glad to hear you enjoyed your time!
That actually is a good point, that I really like. I will add that it is possible to enter the west part of the endless desert with dragon as well. Thanks for the idea and feedback!
And that is also understandable. Since version 1.1.2, the fog is gone so it should be easier to spot. But I also will add a hint for all key parts as well, there is no harm in adding such a hint after all.
Yes that was a bug for the two forms you guessed, it already got fixed in version 1.1.2. Sorry about that.
And that also is a very good point as well. I will add a place to heal in the southern plains, making it a smoother experince.
No worries, it did not sounded negative to me, I think all those points were solid points and your feedback helps me to make the game even more enjoyable! Thanks a lot for the feedback^^
If you you may have any more feedback in the future feel free to share it!
Also I have a few question as well if you don't mind.
Did you encounter any bugs? (game crashed, etc)
Did you do the "Impossible Request" Quest? And if yes, did you managed to finish it?
Did you do the quest in the Mine Caverns that unlocks a certain tf?
How long was your play time?
Did you encounter any bugs? (game crashed, etc)
Only crashed a few times but I was playing on 1.0 and your updates hinted it was linked to a memory issue and so I saved very often and only had to deal with the crash a few times and didn't lose much.
Did you do the "Impossible Request" Quest? And if yes, did you managed to finish it?
I don't think I did that quest. I remember going into the girls house and not seeing her, but I wasn't sure if it was a time of day issue or not. and I was already at the end of the game so I decided to just clear out the game.
Did you do the quest in the Mine Caverns that unlocks a certain tf?
That's one of the guild mission ones right? The map has it listed as Eerie mine. The one of the poisoning and the crystal? If so I did it, and I thought it was fine. Overall it was late enough into the game that I'd made notes of all the caverns that needed an upgrade to see in, and was starting to wonder how to do it, and I had more than enough food to push against the poison. Actually found the segment to be panic inducing and chaotic as I rushed blindly in the near dark looking for salvation. Which I'm sure was the point. Overall I thought it was a great experience. If that isn't the mine then I didn't find it.
How long was your play time?
Looking at the in game clock, 33 hours and 45 minutes. I included a screenshot of my file stats if you're interested.
Yes those crashes should have been fixed in the newest version, just was curious if you played on the newest version and maybe could give some confirmation.
There was a bug that she did not appear in the house, wanted to know if that was the case for you as well, the next update 1.1.3 will try to fix that. I also included all the changes that you suggested.
Yes, that's the one I meant. I had one report that the quest just had a black screen and was unplayable but I found no bug. If you manage to do it as well, it seeems to work like intended. Just wanted to get some insight on that. And yes that was the intention.
And that is interessting, thanks. Mainly I just try to see what the average time is to beat the game, so that information is pretty helpful. But the other stats are also very interessting. That is a lot of money! Also seems like you did do most of the quest as well.
Thanks a lot for the information and feedback^^
For those switches you need to have a certain tf form. One of the harder ones to find. For it you need to have completed the desert and unlocked the ability to interact with the stone monuments. There is one special stone monument in the desert that needs to be repaired by collecting all broken key parts. Hints for them can be found in the forest of beginning in the hint shop.
If you have explored the snow region you may have unlocked the owl form already. It has a bonus ability that can be learned in the dojo which allows to see hidden gliding spots.
Hope this helps and thanks for playing!
Is there something I'm missing in regards to the "The Great Cave Exploration" quest? Cause while in the cave my screen is pitch black (menus still are visible, plus I can interact with stuff, and this applies to every other cave in the game). This has been driving me insane as I try to navigate the cave without being able to see anything to any capacity.
Yes, there are a few ways to increases sight radius in caves. Minor spoilers ahead:
Just having the wolf and owl form passively increases the sight radius in caves a little. And in town you can buy glowstones, who also passivley increase sight radius. The higher your reputation the more of them will be aviable in the shop.
And finishing that quest also unlocks the form that lets you see perfectly in caves.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask more if something is unclear!
You could use a site like this one: https://ufile.io/
I only need your save file. And thanks!
