This was great! There was one platforming jump that I kept messing up but other than that it was overall a pretty solid experience. Love the art too, good job

Not bad! Not bad, for sure! It definitely looks, feel, acts like and plays like an NES game. You're going to give everyone else a run for their money, here.
Notes:
- How is it I can make one platform jump the first time, die, then need to make that same jump 25 more times before I finally manage to make the jump the 2nd time...?
I had no idea I needed Mega Man meets Castlevania in my life. Platforming feels fair, controls are smooth and responsive, my only gripe is that I would have loved to see more enemies (but believe me I know how tough getting platformer enemies designed and working is). Level was a good length, and for the jam I appreciate the difficulty ramp progressing as smoothly as it did.
Loved this, and would love more levels-- stellar work!
I turned back the frog into a princess.
The game is Megaman in Castlevania clothing, which is the best of both worlds if you'd ask me. I enjoyed the somewhat tricky jumps but with regular checkpoints, also that you're not ejected backward when colliding with an enemy. I really like the look of the hero, the frog looks cool too and it's an appropriate NES boss fights. Cool game!
Nice one! Reminds me a bit of Castlevania. I ran into presumably the same bug as Bubbles… Will check in again later. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of it!
