This is really, cool. Nothing better than chilling with ice and watermelons on a hot summer day lol. Love the concept, super creative! Shooting on the beat is very fun, once you get the hang of it.

Yo, just checked the updated version of the game
I love the art style and the uniqueness of the mechanics. The music is also really 🔥.
Lastly, the sound effects fit with the music and do not stand out, which makes a calmer effect.
I had fun playing, a fun collection and rhythm system. I didn't have any performance issues here either. :)

The summer heat is on, to avoid overheating you must break watermellons or ICE cubes to cool yourself down, overheating will cause damage to your HP,
To break the consumables without taking damage you must move/colide with them whil moving to the beat, if you move off beat when coliding with them you will only receive damage and no benefits
Ice cubes cool's you down by alot when collected on beat
Watermellon cool's you down and adds Health when collected on beat
Flaming Marshmellow adds Health by alot when collected on beat but will add to your heat counten if collected off beat
You can also throw beach balls at obstacles to break them, press left mouse button 'on the beat' to throw ball whicl will destroy the obstacles in front of you, if thrown off beat they will not do damage and just bounce off the obstacles, Bonus: press 'N' to play next song.
After some feedback I have uploaded a new build to resolve some of the bugs including the watermellon which caused slight lag and the continuous incline, I have also done some polishing and added a few more dirrent obstacles/collectibles.
To those who tried and rated my game, hope you guys enjoy the updated version.
P.S: since it is my baby niece's 1st birthday today I have decided to include a small dedication in my game, to see it just shoot the present while on beat. :)
As some people pointed out, there might be something off with the watermelon collision. Just a quick tip, you could look into whether any heavy functions are being called when the melons break. Try to figure out exactly what’s going on under the hood. Maybe even ask Bezi for help. AI might be able to detect the issue… or who knows, maybe it’s even part of the problem! I was really impressed with the high definition of the renderings. The UI and music could use a bit more polish, but for a game jam, it's totally understandable that you need to move fast.

It lags very strongly whenever a watermelon breaks and when you reach a certain level progress, all objects disappear into the floor :/ But I like the concept!
Was really looking forward to smashing a bunch of objects, but my computer wasn't enough for it I guess. But still, the music was good and it was intriguing.
