I love when games get more abstract! This was so neat to experience- I especially loved the audio and the frenetic tension it added to the scene.
tyty!!
Big fan of the fairly abstract stuff, the atmosphere here was certainly really unique. And gods, the piano is stuck in my head, perfectly chaotic <3
tyyy!!
I loved the very experimental and uncanny creative direction of this! The sound, visuals and text went really well together. I tend to have a difficult time explaining my throughts when it comes to more abstract work so I’ll just say I really enjoyed it and it made me think! Very cool piece of art!
thanks!!!!
oh wow, i loved the line of "no one is excempt from resurrection" i believe- that one stood out a lot to me... I REALLY REALLY adored it!!! very good game, very interesting and poetic!!!! great job
thanks!!!
your game has such a clear artistic vision that it’s hard for me to express anything other than: wow. because it works really well for the vibe and the tone that you’re going for, the music and the colors and the way that the art is drawn so abstractly and yet with a clear intention in mind. there’s a very otherworldly sort of tone and manner to this game and i regret to say my mind is not so good at parsing things when they’re not written out for me. but i really do think this is such a solid experience; it makes me so curious about the world of gentleman jack!
thanks!!! glad it came across so strongly to you!
go piano go god that's fantastic
ty, ty!
The language has a very poetic flow to it. The dialogue was rhythmic, and I loved the wordplay. I found myself returning to certain lines, and I loved the themes that were explored.
The simple visuals create a distinct vibe that I felt was fitting. I especially enjoyed the music and the harsh tone it (along with the gunshot) set. Thanks for making this game and leaving me with something to think about!
thanks!!!
You always have such a way with creating a cohesive experience with sound and visuals to accompany your narrative. Each line reads with an almost rhythmic lilt, like a long poetic back and forth that makes reading it so buttery smooth. Very delicious meal you've cooked up here! ^p^
tyyyy!!
This piece was so interesting! The visuals really stood out to me in this one, I really like your style. You did a great job with the audio as well, love that piano!! Great writing, too.
thanks so much!!!!
The gunshot sound was a jumpscare lol, I wasn't expecting it the second the game started. Big fan of your narration style and how much this felt like a stream of conscious. I do think the dark blue text against the black background made it a bit hard to read, but other than that I actually really like how simple the visuals were! It worked really well in this!
oh! the blue on black was a bit of an eye strain but it was meant to be difficult to see to indicate a barely audible tone of voice vs. plasticware who speaks at a crisp and open volume, it's designed (against accessibility) bc thematic purpose was more significant to me, but the fact remains that even THOUGH it is thematically relevant, it IS absolutely visually inaccessible, ur right abt that!
(I tried yellow text which was more readable but it felt wrong/dishonest to g. jack and yuzu)
ty for playing and haha yeah even though you know it's coming it's hard to really prepare for when
