I think the first red flag was how they copied and pasted their comment on to a shitload of VNs

Yeaaaah I should have been more diligent. I was only aware of this guy's AI translation slop after a few people reached out to me on Discord this morning qwq

I've had some other translators reach out to me (specifically a Chinese team) and they've been wonderfully transparent and active with their translation efforts and feedback emails. They've spoiled me with how good their work has been ;;w;;

I hope you don't mean our team. Our team is made up of hardworking guys, and also each translated build goes through an editor to detect machine translation or other errors.

I can provide you with the information you need if needed

I do mean your "team"

(+2)(-1)

Yep, I already understood

Uh, also if you don't know i swear I saw a already translated russian version of Repeat yesterday. I forgot who made it but it was a russian version of the exact game. Same background, same text same everything just in russian. So i dunno why he was asking.

As I said, there are several teams of translators who translate novels into Russian. Perhaps you have met them

I will add this: we are not trying to be the only translators of any novel. We understand that we have, so to speak, "competitors", but we are not trying to fight for the right to leadership, or even compete with others, each team has its own audience, and we make translations for our audience, which by the way really likes Repeat

(1 edit)

Huh, your audience also happens to like the other 90 visual novels you commented on in ONE DAY?

I second this, and also would like to know how your small team plans to translate so many visual novels when you insist you don't use AI.

Most of our translators translate several VNs, but we don’t do a huge number of translations at a time; we only have 2-3 novellas a week, This week we only have one novella to publish, which once again proves that we don't use AI, but translate everything ourselves

And if you want, I can write to you on Twitter and describe in detail the entire process from the beginning of the translation to the publication of the finished translation

You right
 "Repeat" was translated by Exgames itself

Exgames mostly don't use ChatGPT for translations, but they use DeepL for most of them

Well, it would be difficult to describe the whole process for each author separately, so that they differ. That's why I copy the same message😅
