How did you implement the theme?
The main gameplay area is a small city center with buildings and a grid of roads. Additionally, the "story" focuses on the impact of large bypass roads on small town businesses.
How did you add the special object?
Cones act as the "pegs" in the plinko-style gameplay, and are used to redirect traffic throughout the city.

I loved this clever use of the theming to create this experience! Awesome work
This is just amazing, nothing else to add that the other comments didn't. I think once the jam is over and you fix the placing/removing cones issue, you could even export it for Android and attract more attention!
Btw I specially love that the volume sliders are just there without the need for a pause menu
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Android export is an interesting idea. It would probably need a lot more UX work to play well on a small screen, but it would definitely be a good learning experience. I’ll see if I’m up to it after I’ve had some time for my brain to recharge 😆
Great vibe, impressive level of polish for just six days, and awesome gameplay depth. Really solid work and an interesting take on the theme. I'm old, and it totally gave me vibes of that game "Pizza Magnate" I used to play on my old button phone
Thank you so much! Glad I could spark a bit of nostalgia :)
Great idea ! Very original
I quite liked the pinball-like gameplay and the fact that you can add, remove, improve and replace buildings to get more money
I couldn’t place or move cones though, idk if it’s a bug or just me don’t aiming correctly lol, but yeah I quite liked it
Interesting. Which browser are you using? I can do some testing and see if I can recreate the issue. It is worth noting that you need at least $25 to place a cone, and you do have a cone maximum. So, it’s possible that one of those requirements was the reason (the UX definitely could use some improvement to indicate this, though 😅).
Removing cones is a bit janky. You have to hold down right click while not mousing over a cone, then - while still holding down right click - drag onto the cone(s) you want to remove. It’s not great 🙃 Once the jam is fully over, I’d like to push a fix that makes this much more intuitive.
Regardless, thank you so much for trying out the game and leaving feedback! I really appreciate it. I’m glad you had some fun even though you ran into a few issues :)
With pleasure !
I played in Firefox, and truth to be told I didn’t check my money amount before trying to add cones, but I remember having enough to place one (more than $100) and it not working, and for the cone removal I didn’t test it like that so I can’t tell you much about it
I had fun regardless and I can’t wait for the new update where you changed some things up ;] I’ll make updates to my game too during the week so as to at least have a version of it with everything that I intended for the game jam but couldn’t add because of time and unrelated issues :]
The graphics are out of this world! Nice work.
All credit to Kenney for the UI icons and town tileset, to Buch for the UI panels and theme, and Arynoc for the Oleaguid font. My contribution was just a few modifications to the buildings to add the items on top.
I am not an artist, so it’s thanks to these awesome people putting their stuff out there for free that I can get anything done!
Wow! Very polished game and clever use of the theme / special object! My only gripe was that I didn't realize I had to drag the cone while right-clicking to remove it, which led to some frustration thinking I wasn't able to move certain cones, but then I re-read the instructions and realized what I was doing wrong (:
Yeah, the cone removal is a bit janky and unintuitive 😅 I’m glad you got it figured out, though! If I could go back and fix one more thing it would probably be that. I implemented it in the easiest possible way early on in development, but then just never went back and fixed it xD
I got hooked... just wow. A great game to play like really, simple yet addicting. Great Job!
Great game Love it!
Sweet game! The music is great, and the gameplay feels very engaging and polished! Trying to plan out the roads to maximize profit combined with the plinko-style gameplay is a fun combo!
Looking forward to more!
Very addicting and pleasing game, from the soundtrack to the bouncing cars on the screen. Great work!
An outstanding game! Found myself getting really addicted to it! (though first I did waste all my cones whoops)
The music was jamming and the cars were very satisfying to watch bounce around!
Well done!
In this jam, cones are never a waste! 😆
More seriously, thank you so much for giving it a go. Appreciate the feedback and kind words :D
This game was surprisingly addictive. I love the music, the sound effects that played as I dropped cars, and just getting to make my own little grid town. It was super fun. Sadly, I'm not very good at strategy games and only made it to week 3 on normal LoL. I'll have to come back to this game sometime and try again.
A must-play on this list :)
Thanks for giving it a go! I admit the balance is not the best, so it may be a bit harder than it should be. Once you find a good strategy, though, it becomes almost too easy 😅 I had a hard time trying to find a good middle ground.
In general, you may need to spend a bit more money than you initially think. A couple extra banks near the top and a few more restaurants will quickly pay for themselves, and after that a few casinos can greatly increase your income since they give you more overall visitors.
