It's a bit rough around the edges.

The graphics are way too crude, there are no dangers that could hinder your progress, and the final boss fight was a bit glitchy. However, I must admit that besides those flaws, the game also has some good ideas going for it. The story was creative, the levels design was good and thought out, and the game itself wasn't really all that bad, and it did deliver me some entertainment! It shows, that you're capable of creating good games, so I advise you to keep learning and improving skills that will help you with game development!

That game, actually reminded me of my old projects I used to create for fun in The Games Factory 2 (now known as Clickteam Fusion) when I was younger. Those projects, honestly weren't better than your game, they also were rough around the edges, if not more so. So, from my experience with game development, I can say that what you've created is pretty good for your first game!

To summarize, it's not bad for your first game, but you still have a lot to learn.

This is pretty good for your first game! I liked how the game progressed when you would continue from year to year, adding more enemies! The only thing I would change is making the jumping puzzles easier, it was really difficult to get pass the long purple jump platforms!

Pretty cool for your first game.  I think it can be built upon, maybe try adding some damage from enemies to increase the difficulty.

thanks I will add damage in my next platformer games thank you for this comment

I loved the intro cinematic!  I think the game is solid - I really enjoyed how you slowly introduced new mechanics as the levels progressed.  My favorite was the navy blue wall-type with the stacked green baddies behind it!

something a lot of platformer games do is let you jump higher the longer you hold down the jump key - this gives the player a little bit of dynamic control-> tap to hop, hold to do a higher jump.

My only other note is that when jumping between the tall Pink baddies (sometime in the 1800s I think), it would be nice to be able to see them better (and maybe make them wider).  it's sort of a leap of faith as implemented.

Thanks for making this game, it has a TON of character.
