Like the graphics and presentation a lot. I'm not sure if the jump on the second level is possible or not though.
Thanks for the feedback. Sadly I can't edit during the jam period as during testing that jump was possible, but now that its uploaded it seems impossible. Thanks for playing!
Lovely game boy-esque feel and the music feels apt too. Very nice job!
Thank you!
Good game, like many others I struggled to make the jump in level 2 and gave up after many attempts of being frustratingly close. The music and art were really nice, and the overall game is very well made. Great job!
Good Graphics, Music and Art Style. Good Job!
Feel free to check out my game as well: https://mark-auman.itch.io/give-and-you-shall-receive
Thanks!
man i really wanted more, but i could not make the jump on the second level. regardless, i really liked the aesthetic of this one
Sadly it seems that got messed up on export and edits aren't possible. I will definitely update post voting so that its playable in case you want to stop back.
The graphics look great, the music and sound effects are a nice addition too, but Godot runs really badly in a browser. Playing at the clearly intended resolution, close to what the intro screens are, makes the framerate acceptable in my case.
Personally I think that the extra life leading into a death pit is intended to be a free reset, in case you missed a jump and/or jumped past the first pit.
I was unable to get past the jump on the second level and after 10 lives I just gave up. It seems to be possible, but it's always just ever so slightly out of reach.
It also seemed to be impossible to walk up hills. Not sure if this was intended or not, but in case it wasn't, I believe the move_and_slide function would've been the appropriate solution here. Nice to see other people using Godot, too!
Okay, I like the graphics, but, an extra life leading into a death pit. A hill that's impossible to get up if you're losing frames on the browser (should be doable if it wasn't on browser. You theoretically can jump high enough to get over those boulders.). All jumps that I was able to get to are impossible. I'm assuming this game was a metaphor for the futility of Gerald's quest.
The game was meant to be fully playable and I do believe it was the web export that caused the issue. Thanks for playing.
