Nice twist on the classic maze. It was interesting to see how many paths you could open up with just one explosion. However, I wish you could kill the enemies as well; when many of them crowd up on you, it can be hard to dodge their attacks. Other than that, this game was surprisingly fun and simple!
thanks for playing, yeah i have been doing some changes that i am planning to add to the game after the jam ends.
Really fun game! Cool addition you can open up multiple pathways by exploding in a crossroad!
Respawn time could have been a little bit faster since you will blow yourself up a lot of times.
Nice to see you were able to create such a fun game using simple mechanics and art!
Well done!
Thanks for playing. Yeah i am planning to release an improved version after the jam ends.
this is what it will look like later
nice simple game with nice simple idea. I suppose youre beginner with game making and i give you all my respect for joining the jam and finishing the game. Its also cool to see ways to make game fit the category with simple mechanics.
Btw game has bug that if you break certain wall spot on level 1 game crashes, happened to me 2 times
thanks for playing, yeah i noticed a while back that it crashes sometimes on html version i don't know what's causing it though (the downloadable versions seem to run fine)
Pretty nice and simple game! It would be better to have indicator, which way is the finish, but maybe it's just my problem, that I can't remeber it despite it showed me at start of the level :D
Thanks for playing. You just have to remember the general direction of the exit and you will reach the end eventually by trial and error.
I loved the idea, especially the fact that you can explode in crossroads to open up not just 1, but 2-4 paths at once. In a game dedicated to dying, it would be cool to have faster respawn time, though. :)
Thanks for playing. The improvements to the game have already been done that includes:
A "5 second" Time-travel style saving mechanism,
half the current re-spawn time and a change in background
I am planning to release it as soon as the rating period ends.
Cool game! I like the sound design a lot. Also, the enemy tracking was pretty solid. I would just decrease the time of the death screen. Nice work!
thanks.
This is a neat twist on a classic pen-and-paper game. I never thought I'd be able to destroy the walls of mazes as I explore them!
I like the simple visual design. It's oddly relaxing to watch the yin-yang character roll around. The enemies were more of an annoyance than a real challenge, but dodging them and purposefully pathing to avoid them added some interest to the game.
Another poster mentioned this, but since this game encourages dying so often the pause on the "Wasted" screen gets a little annoying. I think it would be fine to keep the text (or move it elsewhere on the screen, maybe small and by the spot where you died?), but not lock the player from moving.
Thanks for playing. I only added it cause i thought it would look cool (Inspired from GTA) i will probably replace it with something else once the jam ends
I love the concept! The visuals may be a bit simple, but ecerything else was fine!
Try my game out if you want: https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-3/rate/940634
Sure! i will check it out.
I like this suicide ying-yang. But maybe have check point you can set yourself so you don't have to go all the way again?
Interesting concept! May I suggest removing the "Wasted" cinematic when you die? I feel like it punishes the player with a short time-out, when really dying is a core mechanic of the game. Does that make sense?
"wasted" declares that the player has failed in his "current" attempt, also it looked cool. Anyway thanks for playing and giving feedback, it helps a lot.
nice game, I think adding a way to look at the map or some other indication of where the exit is while playing would be a benefit

Interesting game! It definitely fits the theme. I agree with the other comments about the excessively large levels and necessity of a checkpoint system.
thanks for playing, i am planning to add them at a later point (an autosave after every 10 seconds and the ability to destroy enemies) but at the moment i have intentionally left them out to compensate the lack of levels.
Great game however I feel like when you explode it should kill the enemies in a certain radius.
Thanks for playing, yeah i am planning on doing it later on but right now as it only has 2 levels so i intentionally left it out to make it more challenging.
Great ideea, it does fit the theme very well.
thanks
I was stuck in the beginning for longer than I'd like to admit. I agree with the other commenter on his points as well, having to start from the beginning every time is very tedious. I love the shadow effect you have on the walls and line of sight, it looks really nice!
Thanks a lot for playing. I am thinking of adding a checkpoint mechanism once the jam ends cause i don't think i am alowed to do it during the jam
Good Job! :D Your game is interesting and has a nice idea. It would be cool if the<wtf> </wtf>"suicide" explosion could kill enemies.
Levels are unnecesarily big, but other that that decent game
Thanks for playing hope you like it.
Very fitting game but checkpoints would be nice!
Yeah, i am thinking of adding them later
This game fits well in the jam´s theme. Movement felt fluid, but camera was sometimes a bit nasty. Making a hole in the wall and tracing my way back got boring really fast.. Maybe some checkpoint system would help.
Edit: Sry something happened and at first my comment was posted three times.
Thanks for playing. I would later implement it in the game, also i am thinking of later changing the name for some thing else after the jam. ends
Am i allowed to change the game files during the jam? (This is my first Jam)
