I liked the sound of ambience that you added. Things like that are easy to forget and don't seem to do much, but they really immerse the player and make the setting feel a little more real. I really liked hearing the sound of the wind rustling, it felt colder and crisper. I do think a win condition or other goal would complete this game pretty well, as I quickly realized I didn't have to do anything about the campfire and could just let it die while I kept making torches to keep myself warm as I travelled warmer. Great job with the presentation, and it could definitely add a few mechanics.

The visuals and gameplay loop are very good but perhaps the game may be a bit too chalenging because the fire is extinguished very quickly.

As mentioned below the lighting is beautiful for a 2d game and the gameplay is fun with the crafting. On my first try I was picking up everything thinking the was no limit to what I hold only to get to the campfire, and it barely fill the fire, then die so having an indicator of what I can hold, and its amount would be great or a more complete inventory. Making your own campfire would be nice because you end up to far from the campfire to feed. I really struggled to survive in this game for long which could be just me, but my fire ran out so fast even with wood and leaves, should have the axe quicker. If you really wanted to push this idea further, creating more survival element like hunger and thirst and automation system with forestry and farming.

The indicator was for how cold you were, but I guess I didn't really explain that. Also, the bottom item in the crafting area was a campfire, but I didn't explain this well either.

The game looks so pretty, I love the post processing! Nice simple gameplay loop that's well implemented. Great work!

I can see a ton of potential with this project! With the game as it is, it was a bit aimless, and I was able to just run around and collect leaves/sticks to make an infinite supply of torches. But I can easily see some sort of progression based on the crafting system, where you're first stuck by the fire, tossing leaves into it to keep your source of warmth alive. As you collect some twigs and make torches, you can move further away and find things other than sticks and leaves, like stones to make an axe. From there you can chop down sticks to make torches, no longer stuck to the wooded area surrounding the fire, and so on. Even without a concrete objective, collecting random stuff on the ground still manages to be a satisfying experience. Definitely one of the most promising projects that I've seen so far.

very fun game with nice art and it's just overall fun to play, although it could probably use a way to win, rather than just surviving as long as you can, but maybe that's just personal preference. the inventory was smart and easy enough to use, though it would be nice if items like sticks and leaves and rocks stacked, because i found myself scrolling for quite a while just to find my torch. fun game though! very polished for how much time there was!

I like the presentation of your game! and i really like that inventory mechanic, nice one.

For feedback; i don't see a timer or any kind that indicated that my fire runs out, and is there also a win condition? Thats something i miss. But a nice game overall. well done, also well done for completing a game!
