I'm glad I found time to play and rate your game before the jam ends, it was awesome and well put together! Good job on designing the world!

Incredibly well imagined world! Very creative and beautiful <3

If you find some time this weekend, please check out our game “Starship Minis” and leave a comment to let us know what you think! https://itch.io/jam/vr-jam-2021/rate/1145490

Thanks and congrats on completing the jam!!

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. The islands were detailed, especially given the time frame. The astro cam was a nice touch and I thought the jetpack was neat, though it did get me in trouble a couple times.
I agree that a checkpoint at each level would be much more enjoyable in this  setting. I also thought the teleport was a bit unnecessary, but overall I loved the concept and if you worked on it I would be excited to check it out more. Great job!

Thanks very much for the feedback!

Wow! I'm amazed at how many detailed islands and levels there are.

This took me a good 5 minutes to figure out what I had to do. I think the biggest issue I had was fighting with the teleport locomotion. Definitely, not needed. This would work so well as a stationary experience seated or standing if you put the player right in the middle of all the floating asteroids and let them rearrange them. I would even go further and prevent the player from giving the fat astronaut any lift and just have a fun minigame with all the pieces and arranging them in a Rube Golberg machine type layout to get to the exit. As C-Through already mentioned the permadeath was killer for me and I couldn't figure out why I could move some of the platforms but not others. This has a lot of potential for a fun game!

Thanks! The teleport was mostly for people with really really tiny rooms and had to get around the other side of the floaty islands! It may be a bit too subtle but some of the islands kinda bob around which are the ones that need to be "solved" while fixed ones are essentially in place already as part of the picture you need to complete. It's sounding like I perhaps should have colour coded them to make it more obvious which ones are "locked". The permadeath and snap were meant to be options but never made it to the build as we ran out of time! Thanks for the feedback!

Oh yeah the floating islands are really subtle. I didn't even notice the infinite lives and snap on options! Oh if we all had an extra day of gamedev...

Great idea, and nice execution! I really like the art for the little floating islands and a good choice of idle music. I know there's the rock to test your path. But, restarting the whole experience if you mess up is a bit steep.

Thanks! Hope you got to check out the wrist "astrocam" too on your left wrist when the astronaut rolls :D

I do agree the permadeath is a bit much, there were certainly plans for "difficulty" settings and other options on the first scene, alas, we ran out of time :')
