Fun adaptation of Asteroids. I do like shooting oneself to heal, the laser and meteors add to the challenge, and collecting points to score is simple.

For improvements: spamming to fire isn't too fun, neither is collectables spawning off screen. My biggest concern is that the difficulty doesn't ramp enough, making the play time too long for me to want to play again.

i've never seen a shoot em up thats just a one room game with a boss like attack pattern instead of waves of enemies. also the fact collecting those orbs increases your score made me take some risky moves I normally wouldn't do. while I didn't enjoy the music at first, it grew on me eventually. I just wish there was more of this. like temporary power ups, different attack patterns that vary through each play through. the graphics are simple, but i rather them be that way instead of the screen being clustered with sprites that confuse me. solid entry

Very Good Game, 5 Start On The Fun Category

I'm so glad you liked it!

This is pretty cool and especially so for a first game!
The roughest part is definitely the music, but the graphics are alright.
I like the way you heal yourself in the game. I don't think I've seen anything like it anywhere else. Nice work!

Developer

I absolutely agree about the music. I'll have to practice that kind of thing in the future

Not badly done for a first game.

You did not over scope, which is crucial in game design.

Minor improvement left mouse button hold to shoot (at a fixed rate) instead of constantly clicking to shoot. This will prevent player from fatigue of repeatedly left clicking.

Overall, a well retained scope of the game design.

That's a great idea! If I keep working on this game I'll make sure to add that
