This was a really cool experience! I wasn't expecting to be so freaked out, but often times I got a little jump when I'd turn slightly and see something right in my face :O. I highly encourage you to keep experimenting with the idea and make more enemies and areas to play in because its a very novel experience to play through :). One suggestion if you do continue working on it, try to make some enemies feel more novel based on their AI. So all the enemies you have move straight towards the player which makes one strategy dominant, but if for example, you add an enemy that tries to move away from the side that can see them or something (like trying to sneak up on you) it could change up what strategies the player can use, forcing them to adapt to new situations :o.

Overall, very cool, would love to see more! Also I really love the robot eye shader!

Very cool concept. I would suggest adding audio enemy cues though. Maybe you can make it stereo too so only one ear can hear a certain type of enemy and vice versa. Good job!

Had a lot of promise and you should definitely build on this but I waited 20 minutes and nothing has happened yet. I like your idea I must just have an error on my end, hope you fix bugs like no enemies spawning and maybe define a clear end goal :)

Thank you for the feedback! Enemy spawn was based on players location and proximity to the exit. The map design was a bit rushed so it probably got disorienting.

The two views worked pretty well.  I was startled a few times with things sneaking up on me.  Interesting.

I really like the robotic eye visuals.
Did you do that as a shader in Unity?

Developer

At its core it is a shader found in a unity package on itch called GBCamera.
