Hey! I was in love with the sounds and music; the jump noise felt especially good. I agree with a previous comment that resetting to a level before felt really bad. I think instead of motivating the player it makes them frustrated to run through a puzzle they had already solved. I really liked the theme you set up with such simple graphics and think you did an awesome job :)
Thanks for the feedback!
Very nice! I really liked what you did with the visuals, I'm impressed.
The unexpected factor is similar to my game (check it out if possible :)).
The gameplay is pretty smooth, the game just have one bug (which I had in my game too), which is when the player stays in the ledge of a platform, the gravity keeps accumulating, and when you get out of the platform you fall very quickly because of the gravity.
The audio is pretty cool too, the sound effects when you jump, win or lose and the atmospheric sounds fits perfectly with the game.
I just didn't understand the ending. It shows the game's name and then I stay in the level, but the enemies are gone.
Also, the level with the planes that don't have meshes/collisions on both sides are really frustrating.
Overall, really well made, I enjoyed playing it!
Thanks so much for the feedback
I notice that bug too but forgot to fix it, maybe when i have more time will do a new build.
In the final level, you beat the game when the enemy cube explodes and the titles appears,
just I like the mechanic of that level that decide to leave the player free to test how much velocity
can accumulate avoiding hitting the obstacles.
The "glitched level" with the weird collisions is pretty tough i know,
I've been playing so many times while making it that I learned to finish it fast
and maybe I forget how complicated and disorienting it can be.
Glad you have enjoyed it!
Overall is this a pretty good game. I love the music and visuals. I hate the constantly jump back to the previous level, when I dies.
Thanks for playing! I know the going back to previous level may piss off some people but also can motivate to try to finish, because in general (but not in all) to complete a level you only have to do some simple jumps. Or at least to that was pointing when i was making it.
interesting game, i was not able to finish it because i was not sure how to beat one level, there are indeed unexpected behaviour, but some levels objectives are no really clear, at least for me, good job anyways.
Thanks for playing!
Cool surreal game! I love the art style and the alien world you built. The final boss battle is awesome!
The only annoying thing is that dying throws you to the previous level. It’s very easy to lose all your progress this way along with the interest to the game. But I guess it’s also what keeps players on the toes. Never thought I would be so afraid of a purple cube!
Thanks for playing! Glad to hear that the cube serves its purpose well
The camera rotates painfully slow, to the point when I’m simply not able to play the game. Was playing under Linux using the Wine emulator, maybe this was the cause. I won’t rate since that would be unfair. The screenshots look promising, maybe I’ll try it later on a Windows PC :)
Oh please try it on windows! I didn't make a Linux build because i can't test it. The camera have a subtle post processing effects, maybe that causes the slow down on the emulator.
Note: Wine Is Not an Emulator. ;-)
It’s strange though, the game worked fine in Wine for me.
