This was a nice little arcade style game, awesome work!

My only issue was that sometimes the trash flew from the left to the right super fast - whilst there were multiple objects that needed to be sorted at the same time. Leaving it impossible to catch the items during their journey. I worked out a strategy for this, having the bin upside down ready to slam it left or right, though - so it wasn't bad :).

I am glad you liked the style of my game.
I like the idea of having more challenging aspects but I do plan on adding a progression system, this system would ease the player into the more tricky scenarios and give them a sense of progression.
also, good trick you figured out

This is a nice and simple game, totally reminds me of playing Fruit Ninja. Short and engaging game, great work!

Developer

thanks for playing. I am glad you noticed my main inspiration. My other inspiration was the old phone game Paper Toss.

I think the sound that plays when you capture an item in the bin makes this game literally twice as fun. If you added some kind of progression or upgrades in between rounds I could play this for ages.

Developer

glad you liked the sound design.

I do plan on updating the game with some sort of progressive difficulty. Post-round upgrades are an interesting idea. I will look into them.

The design here was great! The game taught the player the mechanics very clearly without having to rely on bulks of text, it just felt natural. I also really appreciate how you didn't feel the need to drag the game out, instead of having one level/game where the experience starts to drag on, you ended up splitting it into 3 different blocks and whilst they the have same mechanics it's really fun to switch thinking to focus on recycling instead of compost. Sometimes the trash would bunch together making difficult to swoop exactly what you needed, so I would recommend adding some more spread to the trash or even making the play space bigger.

Developer

thanks for your feedback.

most of the time when I play games, especially smaller indie games, I skip over most of the text. I much prefer to explore the game and control my own. I only go back and read if I get confused or don't know what to do. A more visual tutorial was important for this game.

I am glad you liked switching between the different bins.

in future updates, I plan to fine-tune the spread and balance of the game

My favourite part is the surprise of getting different types of bins for different types of rubbish. Very satisfying to slam the bin against the edge of the screen to get that bit of rubbish that just might escape.

Great job!

thanks for playing. I am glad you find my game satisfying.
In future updates, I plan to add the ability to choose which bin you get. but to keep that surprise feeling, I should also add a random mode that keeps the current system.

Submitted(+1)

Definitely keep a random mode in. I really liked how it got you to think on your feet (or your bin).

Neat submission! It was quite fun and the snappy sounds helped give it a bit of punch. Simple but effective design.

Developer(+1)

glad you liked the sound design. wanted the players to know what they did right and wrong easily.

Simple but addicting gameplay, had a lot of fun! :D

Nice smooth controls, the different types of bins/rubbish is a good idea too.

Nice art style and music as well, awesome job! :D

Developer

awesome to hear you had fun. thanks for your positive feedback :D

Simple, short but very Sweet with the little details! Took me a second to get the bin types but once I did It was fun and addictive.

Developer

glad to see you liked it. I plan on updating it to make it easier to tell what to collect

Really well-designed game! Great simple fun, great job!

Developer

Glad you think so

Submitted(+1)

Short and fun, i liked the little detail of the bin type dictating what types of trash you could and couldn't collect. well done.

Developer

Thanks for playing

Trash Ninja offers that addictive, classic arcade-style gameplay you just can't get enough of! One thing that could add even more fun is giving players the option to choose their bin instead of it being random. But overall, it's an amazing game! Well done! :)

Developer

I should add that first line to the description!
Good thinking. that way they can see what trash they need to collect
thank you :)

This has that flappy bird vibe for  me, really fun but I'm so bad at it XD I think it you added levels to it so once you get 10 you have to get another 10 and your lives reset that could be really fun ^-^ I think also have a few seconds to process the items you need to collect before the game starts, maybe in the count down screen could also be helpful ^-^

Developer(+1)

multiple levels is a good idea.
each round starts with a small animation showing what items to collect. but I should give the players some time to familiarize themselves with movement.

Submitted(+1)

Once I figured out the different bin types It was fun to collect everything and avoid the unwanted types

Developer

glad to see you figured it out
