Methodology
I chose to build my music around a simple melody with spaces. This melody evolves over the course of the music, like the evolution of machines and technology. The spaces allow me to add other sounds and counter melodies.
As the music progresses, the arrangement becomes more complex.
The first part begins in major with beeps and simple waves (square and triangle) with a floppy disk noise as rhythmic support.
We then move on to electric guitar. Technology starts to sound cool.
Then the sound gets colder, and we move into a minor key.
Then the singularity.
Then peace.

You'll hear samples of Windows and Mac (and Intel, too). It was a bit of a challenge for me to integrate these elements.

Expertly crafted and super catchy! For me, the way this tune flows seamlesslessy between the different sections was most impressive. Also those OS easter eggs were a clever touch!

Always amazes me how you can turn anything into a sick beat. Felt like a typewriter or printer sound you turned into a theme. I hear plenty of electronic bleeps and doodads, fitting the AI theme. The song got a cool rhythm and flow to it. Like many others, you chose for a surprising upbeat theme. I especially like 0:00 - 0:51, which was just really cool to listen to. It turned almost disco-y for me at 1:06, not sure why I felt that way. And at 1:40, it feels like that is the point that AI surpassed us and turned sentient! The music stops and feels all “discovery”. It looks like it starts to grow darker at 1:47, but then flips it around and goes happy again :D. Really interesting twists you got there!

I don’t want to be that guy that is always positive about your songs just because I like you; I just always really like your songs :)

I am always impressed by how much thought goes into your compositions sounding like the theme. Just as you described in your description, you executed SO well. I love the transition with the computer startup sound into the minor disco groove section. But the best part overall is the vocal slides in opposite directions into that beauty of a chord. If I had to choose my favorite moment from all the submissions in this entire jam, I think that part takes the cake. Wonderful melody, apt and imagery-filled accompaniment, and spot-on the theme. Excellent job and thank you for sharing!

The windows starting sound was super funny to hear. I also liked all the other computer sounds you implemented!

masterfully mixed as always!

the ending reminded me of when you collect a heart in celeste.

you always manage to do that too somehow. remind me of an excellent song or game with your music.

It makes me so happy that you think the mix is good. That's what I've been working on for the last few jams. I'm glad it's paying off.

I've just listened again to Celeste's Obtaining a Heart, and the resemblance is striking!

Unconscious inspiration!

Love the build up with all the different counter melodies. Very funky bass at 0:37 and the chord at 1:50 is lush!!

Thanks, this is the first time I've tested such rich and tight chords, I'm happy with the result.

You brought me on quite a journey.

I loved that you followed a 'Neo exits the Matrix' sound effect at around 1:47 with peaceful chords.

« Neo exits the Matrix » : I thought of it more as "We, technology, are taking over every aspect of your life, you can now relax and enjoy a pacified world."

But I like your interpretation too 🙂
