Methodology
Using only Musescore, I tried my hand at telling a tale through music:

It starts calm, with the flute, banjo and congas giving the feeling of a serene forest or grass area. However, soon it appears... that it is just not enough. A sound is missing... Luckily, the sound of clanging metal fills up that void! They sing the theme together. However, the metal seems to become more dominant and depressing, from major to minor, slowly smothering the flute until metal is all that is left. And in the end, when nothing but metal remains, it sings the same theme but from a minor and rigid view...

Your storytelling through music is quite impeccable! Makes me sad, but I suppose that’s the reality of industrialization. Thanks for composing this for tunejam!

Wow thanks a lot! I appreciate the compliment :)

I liked that it sped up at the end and the little twangs that the melody did in the metal part were really neat!

Developer

Thanks a lot :D! The twangs are a combination of Iron Pipes and Timbales and felt metal-y to me, and the speed-up felt appropriate. Glad you like it!

I love your "forest to industrial" take on the theme, but more importantly, the music supports that. The first half is so serene that I was sad to see it get.. well.. sad. Not to say that's a bad thing, becAuse it was still an enjoyable listen in the second half which also did a good job as a maintaining a melodic similarity to the first half. All in all, great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot :D. I am glad you recognize the melodic similarity and the saddening over time. And thanks for the compliment of finding it an enjoyable listen!

I like the unique take on the theme, bringing the idea to a more grassroots origin of industrialization and man versus metal. The progression of acoustic instruments to electronic and synthetic all fit within the world you have created, and tell a clear story that evokes strong visual imagery of what is happening throughout. My favorite part is the change to minor and how the steel string adds in the ornamental grace note to the melody adding its own flare to the original tune. Overall this was fun to listen to - great work and thank you for sharing!

Thanks a lot :D. What you describe is exactly how I intended it, so I am glad that it worked out as I hoped it would! As always, I love your detailed description. Thanks again!
