Great game, I like this kind of gameplay. I got to level 15, apparently. A little improving would be to let the player see where were the bombs when he clicks on one (just a second or two) before restarting. And For the first levels, it would be easier to click on the "intruder(s)" boxes instead of all the other ones.
Same question as the others: Is it endless? Where does it end? Because The 2x2 level with 4 bombs must be quite a challenge XD.

Developer

Level 15 is seriously impressive! Thanks for the idea of seeing where the bombs were (the Game Over element was really rushed in the last 5 minutes). There is no 'end' - so essentially when all of them are bombs is as far as you can get, but I figured this would be way too hard for people to achieve haha. Thanks for playing!

In fact, from the moment where most of half boxes are bombs, it gradually becomes easier because the number of object to track is reducing : you don't track bombs anymore but empty boxes. So the hardest moment is when exactly half is bomb and half is not.

Yeah good point! Actually while I love the idea of this game (was thinking of polishing and expanding), there is indeed a saturation point quite quickly, - not sure how to expand it into a bigger game without this, ah well - we will see! Thanks again!

Submitted(+1)

Expand seems hard, but polish, and add some quality of life features, such as a life system, to let the player try 2 or 3 times a level failed before restarting all (or just fall back to the previous level) would make it a really great mini-game! (And that's all we ask from a post-jam project).

Developer(+1)

thanks! Yeah think I’ll give it a quick polish after the jam.. cheers!

Wow, it's hard for me to get past level 11. I ended up trying to follow one box with my mouse cursor, another with my finger, and another with my eyes. Is this a good method? I don't think so xD

In any case, it's a great game, simple in concept, but damn challenging!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Think that method is as good as any :)

Very fun little memory test. Is there an end?

Developer

It will end if you get to the level where they are all bombs,  so that's the highest possible score, but this is almost humanly impossible haha

This one's wonderful, could you release the soundtrack on youtube? I adore it.

Developer

It was a musical piece from freesound.org, - will try and find it for you tonight! Thanks for playing :)

After a few levels, I was getting cross-eyed :D

Level 13 is very good going! Yeah it can lead you to try and move your eyes in seperate directions haha. Thanks for playing!

Shuffle animation too long at the beginning. Dont know how far it goes but LVL 9 was pretty difficult. Visuals and Audio are fine. Overall its a nice game but the theme in my opinion wasnt correctly implemented since you know what will happen if you choose the correct box which you can find out by looking at the boxes while they shuffle and the theme implies that something unexpected will happen.

Developer

There are many ways to interpret a theme. For instance, when you click the boxes you then see what happens (when you clicked the box that meant game over, you didn't expect that to happen did you? You hoped it would be a safe box). Shuffle animation at the beginning is to give the player a chance to get used to that mechanic. Thanks for playing

At first, I agreed with Ibrahim, but you well defend your pick on the theme so I finally agree with you. +1 Star XD

Developer

Thanks!

Level 13 and I'm proud of it :D really nice concept, sfx and graphics are on point. Is it infinite or it stops?

Developer

Good effort! Yeah it is 'infinite' - but eventually you'd have all bombs on the smaller grid so game over. But this is not humanly achievable to get this far I don't think haha

Submitted

Apparently level 8 is as far as I go, 3 bomb boxes was too much to keep track of 😅 How many levels did you have time to make? Really liked the vfx + sfx on the destruction of the boxes!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The levels increment automatically, so essentially when you get to a smaller grid with all of the boxes being bombs, it's game over! But this is not humanly possible (I don't think!) haha.

Very engaging! Loved the music!

Soooo satisfying. That crunch sound was amazing haha. Gameplay was really nice too though. I got up to level 12. I love these clicker-hell type of games, really addicting. Great submission!!

Developer

Thanks! Level 12 is impressive! I am still trying to get the elusive 14, then it gets really tough! Thanks for playing :)
