Hi, really cool idea. I thought the graphics were well-designed as well! I think the idea of a drug dealing stealth game is really cool but maybe the gameplay could be refined a little but of course you didn't have much time!
I didn't like that you had to wait for the customers to become interested - it slowed the game down too much.
An alternative could be to go up to them and get them interested. Then you carry out the deal before they become disinterested again :)
Yeah, you are right. And the solution you mentioned seems reasonable. Thanks
Hi!
I really like this game. Simple mechanics, but has a nice challenge as well.
A tad bit slow to my taste, but it's fine.
Great work though, but try to upload the updated versions after the jam ends so that the scoring is fair.
Yeah, the pacing was probably a bit slow. Thank you for the review, we will keep this in mind in the future!
The char design and the art overall and animations were pretty nice. I liked the bopping of the chars as they moved. Honestly speaking though in my opinion, for gameplay wise, this game was really slow paced and plain. There wasn't really much action occurring and the exchange was taking pretty long. I would of loved it if there was audio so it can atleast motivate me a bit to try and win the levels. I did end up finishing all the levels, but please make the game a bit more fast paced. Overall, the game was really nice.
Yes, you are right, there is not much depth in this game. I mean there is good potential but after finishing the 'dealing' mechanic and therefore the main loop of the game in almost 3 hours we thought that it's was a better approach for us to just polish from that point on.
Also for the audio part, we had great ideas, but unfortunately, we canceled them because we had already exceeded the time limit.
Thank you for the honest review!
No problem! I hate it when I overscope as well and cant finish all my game ideas and have to cut back so I feel you there. The game certainly was well polished in terms of a full on gameplay, movement, and art. I would of loved to see so much more from this 😃
interesting... not much of a trijam game since it took you 9 hours, but I liked it. the characters look cute and it was a little flashback since my first trijam (#97) was about selling drugs :)
We struggled a lot with the process of coming up with a good idea that also fits in the time frame. The drug-selling topic is just interesting to explore, definitely revisiting this in a future jam!
