Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
RamenSplash! is our attempt to capture the deeply personal and challenging experience of owning and running a local ramen shop. Each day you are forced to deal with difficult decisions regarding generosity. Do you allow your employee to take the day off to take their kid to a show? What if you think another employee might be faking sick to go to a concert and skip work? You decide how generous to be with your resources and workers, but you still have a business to run. Be too generous, and you will quickly find yourself unable to pay next month's rent. The goal of this game is to explore the idea that while generosity is seen as an objectively good thing, it requires balance. If you give everything away, then you will have nothing left to support yourself; however, if you are overly greedy, you might find it hard to stop staff from leaving.

I really like this game, but the buggy input makes it difficult to play. I managed to win it while always sticking up for my employees :)
Here's some tips for others to play:
Aside from the difficulty to pick up the items, I found it frustrating that the employees would sometimes stop their current action. This seems to be triggered when another employee gets near them, but since there's not many options to avoid this and a lack of feedback, it leads to an annoying and confusing experience.
The art style is charming and fun, and I enjoyed the interactions at the end of the week where you get to decide what to do. The music and audio were also nice. With a few fixes the game would be a lot more accessible. Great work!
This is really cute! But the game doesn't seem to work for me. I could cook but not add anything to bowls :(
There was 1 at the counter, and 1 maybe hidden under another serving tray. I had trouble progressing. I really like the idea though!
hey it's Chris: Bryanna's comment captures my experience as well. I really tried
This is a cute concept but unfortunately, I couldn't really get the game to work. I tried it a few times and I was able to start cooking noodles and such but when I went to put the food into the bowls, they wouldn't always grab the food they made. Again, though, super cute concept and I love that y'all made so many different art assets to use in the food.
