Graphics is good :)

Developer

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked the graphics!

Cool game! Even 3D...great work!!! Good art style! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your kind words and for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Cool idea! It ramps up pretty quickly I think the pushing needs some kind of more obvious audio/visual feedback but the enemies falling is satisfying and I really like how the game looks!

Developer(+2)

Thanks! Yeah it does, will get more refined in future projects.

Really fun Idea. Unfortunately my pc isn't all that good anymore so I had some major performance issues. But from what I was able to play, I would probably add some force to the push back mechanic. Now the enemies kind of just flop over, which is kind of funny. But having them slam against the walls and floor would be funnier :D

Developer(+2)

We thought it looked funny so we left it there haha, but I agree in a more polished game pushing should have more impact and feedback, thank you!

The hedgehog's dilemma is a metaphor about the challenges of human intimacy. It describes a situation in which a group of hedgehogs seek to move close to one another to share heat during cold weather. They must remain apart, however, as they cannot avoid hurting one another with their sharp spines. Though they all share the intention of a close reciprocal relationship, this cannot occur, for unavoidable reasons.

That's how this game made me feel, it's very difficult to keep the correct distance to the robots. Too far away, and I can't push them. Too close, and I get hurt.

Jokes aside, this was alright.

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Okay this comment was a rollercoaster, but I think you conveyed the idea pretty well haha. Yes, I know what you mean, certainly something to work on and improve in the future, thanks!

Despite not being able to finish the game, I had fun playing it. The attack distance was hard to judge (both for player and "enemies"), but I appreciated the interesting take on the jam's theme

Developer(+1)

Very little people were able to finish it, so I'm guessing that's the game being too long or too difficult (or both). Thanks for  trying it out and glad you had fun!

(+2)

I really Liked the idea. At first I thought the game would be easy, but then I had to figure out how to trick theese robots. Was able to get to the ending, its funny. Btw why do dogs wanna hug me? Oh, and the healthbar at the bottom is gorgeous :)

Developer

Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it and made it to the end, those robots can be trickier than they look 😄 As for the dogs… maybe they just really like you? Or maybe it's a trap, who knows. And yes, the health bar is gorgeous, huge thanks to a good friend of mine who helped out with that (they preferred to stay anonymous), so all credit goes to them!

Noooo I want my hugs why do these huuurt! Jokes aside I like the original theme of the game the dynamic gameplay <3.

Developer

Aww, sorry for the painful hugs 😅 We'll work on making them more gentle next time! Really glad you liked the theme and gameplay, that means a lot to us. Thanks for playing! ❤️

I had a lot of fun with this game! The robotic voices and characters made this feel like a Portal horror game, but with a general feeling of wanting to be hugged! Great job overall!

Developer(+1)

Happy you did feel that way, thank you!

Submitted(+2)

Congratulations on the project! Super interesting and with potential for expansion, as long as it's better balanced: attack cooldown, mob and player speed, new room layouts (perhaps with mechanical traps) at higher levels, and strategic respawn points.

Developer(+2)

Really good ideas, I will note them down in case we ever continue the project, thanks!

Submitted(+2)

Really fun game, but also pretty hard. I managed to reach 02:00 minutes, but the dogs are really fast and have a tricky collision, when they pile up they keep pushing each other, and with the attack cooldown, I found it hard to kill them. But I still had a lot of fun playing it!

Developer(+1)

I hope that wasn't too frustrating for you, will try to look into balancing it more and maybe reducing the time necessary if we ever continue with the game, thanks for trying it out and for your feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Great game! It's pretty impressive considering the amount of time although a web version would've been much appreciated.

Developer (1 edit)

We're really glad you enjoyed it! This is actually something we've thought about, but unfortunately, Unreal Engine 5.6 does not officially support WebGL or browser-based deployment. Hopefully, there will be better options available in the future. Thank you for your interest and feedback!

Really fun game. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much! We’re really happy to hear you had fun. That means a lot to us!

Submitted(+2)

Interesting concept. I think improving the feedback from pushing the enemies could make the game even more satisfying. Great work!

Developer(+2)

Now that you mention it really does feel that way, thanks for the useful feedback!

This is game should have an alternative name : Introvert torture chamber, i actually enjoyed timing the push away button lol.

Developer(+1)

Yo this is an even better name, too late to change it now tho, will definitely do if it ever gets a full version XD.

Fun little game, wasn’t able to complete the whole 5 minutes though haha. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Yeah we thought 5mins might be too long after releasing it, still thank you for taking the time to try it out!

Submitted(+2)

Running around evading cuddly robots was fun!

Developer(+2)

Glad it was fun, thanks for checking it out!

Personally enjoyed the game a lot, i really liked the creative idea and for only 2 devs this game is pretty impressive to do in such a short time. Overall great game.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!

Fun game with a cool concept. Liked the ending as well.

Developer(+1)

Means a lot, thank you!

good, the A.I used I can understand but the rest of it really good

Developer(+1)

Thanks!
Yeah, only used it since we are 2 devs with no budget, but kept it minimal and used it for help to complete the game.
Appreciate you!
