Cool concept. Like the sonar effects

Cool concept! Would be nice to see a more playable version sometime. I found using K and ; to rotate a bit awkward. Thanks for trying out Hoot!

Very creative idea, I really like the sonar concept. It does seem more like a PoC, as I couldn't find anything but the initial rocks - but it was a very interesting game nonetheless. Congrats!

Wasn't able to find anything but the initial rocks, but really like the idea! I'm currently working with undersea sensors and it's amazing what they can do with them.

Seems that the rocks are all that's there besides the player: https://github.com/robgssp/hunt_for_mauve_july/blob/main/game.scm#L128

Thanks for checking!

The idea of navigating relying solely on sonar immediately piqued my interest. Would love to see this explored more in depth, in a more furnished world and with objectives.

Inspired by "The Hunt for Red October" when they go through the undersea canyon of course.
