A great game, truly!
But...
There is no mention of a jumpscare. T__T I might've had a heart attack. T__T

I love this game and it scared me soooooooo much. My heart was racing thinking that could happen irl.

Amazing! I have read a good amount of VN from this jam but this one is my favorite at the moment. The art is stunning, the atmosphere is deliciously chilly and the characters feel real. The animated backrounds add life to the scenery, and I love the app interactive system. I feel for Petra, and even for the "antagonist", that means you portrayed your characters well. Well done, max rating ;)

Sorry for the clumsy english, it's not my first language.

!!SPOILERS!!

An AMAZING game! It kept me on my toes for a while. Love the internet-interactive system. Great character build with great lines and great story! That part where Petra turns on the lights and then Josh (the evil spirit) turns them back off immediately scared the living daylights out of me, but somehow was still able to get more of a psychology feel than a jumpscare was great, since my favorite horror genre is psychology horror. That scene really gave me ptsd, of course, it wasn't just that scene, all the other scenes where the evil spirit is shown peeking at Petra also gave me ptsd (which is a good thing in this case). One of my worst fears is to have a humanoid creature peek at me through corners, door frames, closets, etc. Really love this game! 10/10 for me, keep up the Amazing work! Definitely WILL recommend to my friends (or even 15 other people lol).

This whole game just *war flashbacks* took me BACK, goodness. I guffaw'd at seeing Tom haha

This setting is really the only setting in which this story could be pulled off and it's done SO well. Excellent job!

Both endings were pretty abrupt and I'm honestly not sure if I like or dislike the fact that there's no sound that accompanies the bad ending. Either way, great game! ^^

Truly excellent pixel art--so much detail, you did some really interesting camera angles, and the folds in the clothing look really naturalistic. You really went above and beyond with the implementation, too--the figures moving past the window and the fully interactive computer interface with the windows and everything.

The way the teens text is very veristic--you've really captured that texting cadence. I would have liked a skip button, though; I felt like I spent a lot of time waiting for texts to type.

thank you so much!!

I left any skip/typical visual novel  quality of life options out for immersion, since I wanted to frame everything lie it’s exactly how Petra’s experiencing it (why there’s no music outside the computer, why there’s no sound effects during jumpscares, etc), and a part of that was having certain lines take longer for the characters to start typing, to simulate them thinking of a response, but I’ve definitely found it is REALLY awkward to watch someone play when so much time is spent waiting, if I could go back and change something it would definitely be to add a skip option

I totally get why you made that choice and it's super valid--I've just played through 80 VNs in the past two weeks so I've been doing a lot of skipping. But that's just interface stuff anyway, which is just a nitpick.

This was incredible. I love it, the suspense, the writing, the hilarious period accuracy, the monster, and it was actually, genuinely unsettling! I love the attention to detail like all the quirky little accounts in the friend finder. Fantastic stuff.

Damn, it's really creepy. Really, really creepy brr. Sound effects are top notch, and I really like all the little stuff making this looking so real (like the freaking ads on the corner ahah, it's so internety.)

The start is a little slow maybe (I think it's more true because you can't skip the messages, so it's a bit long when you read/type fast), but overall it's really a great horror game, well done!

wow the visuals in this just blew my mind. Nice art! Its almost more motion comic than VN

Incredibly well made and even more impressive with the fact that something of this quality was made by only one person.
