This game is cool! The shooting mechanic and monster was very satisfying. I'd suggest adding more player instruction like hints or items that tells where the gem.

Overall! Well done!

I think the music is pretty dissonant, doesn't fit the gritty dark story, but maybe that's what you're going for for comedic effect? In that case I don't really mind. The gameplay itself was pretty simple, reminds me of those old flash shooter games where you control a character from a top down view.

Overall, good effort! I can see the hard work put into the level design, while the graphics isn't anything too special, and mixing two different art styles is a bit strange, and the size of the tiles vs the size of the character feels a bit weird as well in terms of proportion, but overall still a neat concept.

Theme interpretation is pretty basic, but I'd say it's fine.

thank you for the feedback and for playing our game. all points noted, will change in our next game jam game. and we didn't focus more on graphics cuz we didn't have time for that.

Really fun game! Was surprisingly difficult for me, which I appreciated. But I think I got better at it as I played it! The music is pretty nice and cheery. I did get lost on the level though, maybe an indication of where to go might be helpful? But overall I had tons of fun!

The camera follow was very smooth, the gameplay overall was good. Music was great and of course the Brackeys Health bar is looking good.

Good Job!

Developer

thank you for playing the game. I used cinemachine for the camera follow and thats why it is smooth. Thanks again for playing our game.

I like it! the movement feels really smooth, and the soundtrack fits pretty well. Overall, maybe some more sfx and maybe a pointer and subtle hints for were to go to.

Nice game! The controls were smooth and the shooting felt good. I think some other indicator for taking damage besides the health bar decreasing will help, but asides from that, good job!! Rated :)

Developer

thank you so much! I will improve these in our next game for the next game jam. thanks for the rating. your game is exellent.

I got lost on this level, as there are no distinct areas for me to create a mental map of the layout in my head. The tiles are also not scaled properly. It looks as if the player is tiny in size, because the ores are huge next to him.

noted... will change this on our next game. Thanks for the feedback. Please rate the game.

I don't know if there's an ending but I played this for several minutes, died many times and my biggest issue's probably how long it takes me to find more monsters. Maybe it's just me but I found it kind of boring to just walk around. I'm also not a fan of the lack of sound effects. I often got damaged without even realizing. Finally, I think you could've shown the tutorial part at the beginning in a different way. Having to wait for every sentence to be shown before continuing was a bit obnoxious.

Regardless of all of these complaints, good job on finishing the game! I liked the main character's design.
