Love the concept! The spirit designs are wonderfully ethereal, and I'm looking forward to watching this one develop--great work, team! ✨ Always up for some ghostie friends (and candy)!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Really cool game,
The art , story and music went well together giving it a late night walk atmosphere.
Having multiple endings was a nice touch.
My only nitpick was, some of the actions like taking the key, one of the ghost house and getting the item could be repeated endlessly.
Overall it a solid game.
Was definitely worth playing.
Thank you so much Apsynthic, we really appreciate that! We also assure you we will try and fix various aspects of the game in the future in order to improve it
Thank you so much for playing our game! We're very sorry for the bugs, this will be fixed soon!
Getting candy and talking to ghosts are probably two of the most Halloween-ish things you can do. I was so happy that I got to see them both working so well together in a game. Also, I loved the ghosts. They are charming, and it's cool how you can make them go while helping by digging into their lives and being nice. I always like it when there's that human vision of those who are gone instead of the demonic/violent take. The game felt magical and warm, and I got absorbed by it. I enjoyed the whole experience plenty :)
[spoiler] One little issue I encountered was that after dealing with the lover (got the item and everything), nothing else happened. I then could go into the house again and, after repeating the scene the same way, I finally got the "go home" choice to finish the demo.
Loved the idea, and I am hoping to see more of it in the future. Great job!
Thank you so much Yomissmar, you are just flattering us! ☺️ We’re so glad you enjoyed the more human take on the unfortunate souls roaming the town.
And we do thank you for the feedback regarding what happens after dealing with the Lover, we will fix that. Not to mention there’s indeed more to come in the future for this game!
Thank you so much for the feedback, we're glad we could convey the Halloween-y atmosphere! We'll be fixing the bugs soon!
Like DangoDango, I kept getting a write error warning, but I found the concept very charming! The spirits are interesting characters, and the protagonist has a lot of heart. Congrats!
Thank you for the feedback and your kind words, FeatherBoy!
In order not to get the error message, we suggest to play the downloadable version, which is definitely more stable. We are very sorry for that, and we assure you we’ll try to improve the game in every aspect even after the contest is over 👍
Shall do - thank you!!
nice game!
It’s just a bit distracting that each scene has a different art style, and the background/sound volume levels are not consistent.
Another thing is that while playing, I keep getting this error (just after leaving the house).
Thank you very much for your feedback!
Unfortunately we had to make do with using a bunch of asset packs, but the plan is to draw them all so they're consistent in art style ^^ We'll keep the sound mixing in mind and fix that soon.
And yeah, I'm not sure what causes the error myself (nothing google will tell me, but I have a feeling it has to do with all the variable checks the game does that web builds struggle with) , but if you would like a less annoying experience, please do download the non-web builds as they run fine!
