Things I didn't like:
Overall, a fun, silly romp, and it's easy to see why this game has garnered the attention it has. It would work better in an engine more suited to this style of play, though.
Thanks for the feedback! : D
I totally agree, making an action shooter/platformer in Rpg Maker is definitely not a good idea (unless you have a lot of time to polish it and make it less clunky/use plugins intended for that). This was mostly a little experiment, though, and some of the bosses were rushed. But my main goal was to make people laugh hahaha
I don't know what I was expecting from a game titled Toiletisia vs Evil, but it had me laughing the whole time so that's a good sign! You know the gameplay is a bit clunky, but it's still impressive that you got it working in rpg maker.
The normal enemies didn't seem to damage me often, they would run into me and then just turn around. I ended up stuck at the goat boss because my reaction speed is bad and I couldn't line Toiletisia up properly to avoid death... But that's more of a me problem than the game's issue.
Hahahaha thank you so much!
Don't worry, it's not your reaction speed but rather the game is extremely clunky and stairs don't allow you to shoot enemies (that's because Toiletisia's shooting animation only activates if she's either facing right or left)
tolietisia shake your cake
best game about toilets ever 10/10 recommend
hahahahaha thank you Bear!
I... had a lot of trouble with this game. I really liked the dialogue and it did feel like a humorous Castlevania. But the movement was really laggy on my end, so I ended up running off of cliffs when I was trying to climb the ladders and a lot of my shots lagged instead of hitting the enemies. I did make it to the end boss but I have no idea how to defeat her. I can't do anything to her and she insta-kills me no matter where I go or what button I press. I've tried numerous times and I'm still not sure what the pattern is supposed to be, or how to stop her attack before it kills me. I'm assuming there's a way to beat her, but I just have no idea what it is.
What I definitely liked were the boss battles. Those were creative and, while they weren't hard, they were enough of a challenge that it didn't feel like it was a joke battle. Ironically, the goat boss was the easiest for me. Probably because of how many Castlevanias I've played before. :P
Thank you so much for your amazing feedback and review!
The movement and combat system are definitely veeeeeery clunky. I guess Rpg Maker isn't a really good option for making these types of games (Pixel Game Maker MV is the perfect option for that). But I definitely had fun trying to implement these mechanics in MZ.
I'm glad that you could see that I was inspired by Castlevania! I'm a huge fan of the Castlevania games, specially 1, 3, IV, SOTN, AOS, HOD and Bloodlines
The final boss is definitely doable. This is the strategy:
1. stand on the safe tile until the boss stops sending the death lights (there's a safe tile where the lights will never reach you, it's near the edge)
2. stand on the edge of the screen to avoid her attack while she's red
3. once her color scheme goes back to normal, get close to her and shoot
4. repeat that 9 more times (or less, since you can get critical hits)
All right. I'll give that a try. As for the controls... well, considering you made this in only 9 days, what you did is still an impressive feat. I'd say that if you come back to it, the only thing you really need to work on is just polishing them up, if there's a way to do so.
this was so funny and clever. It's definitely either my #1 or #2 I haven't played them all yet though. It was so funny, fun, and good, and not too hard, just what I like. I enjoyed the comedic aspects and dialogue
ohhh thank you so much stranger! : ) I'm glad you enjoyed the silly humor! My main goal was to make people laugh : D

Honestly this game made me laugh my ass off every step of the way. We kind of need a comedy horror to mix it up a little. Thanks for this.
hahahah I'm glad it made you laugh! : D
To be honest, this was very rough to play due to the engine of choice being RPGmaker. Shooting mechanics are literally cutscenes and behaves like short cutscenes, so the character was very hard to control
hahahahaha
this game was so funny. With the ghost boss though, if you go on the right side of it, and get trapped in the wall, you just walk towards it until you die LOL It had patterns so it's just tedious to kill, but not hard. Was a fun little game
Thank you so much! : D I had no idea of that bug. But bugs are part of the experience hahaha
Honestly it's not much of a bug, I could see it being a thing, I was just being dumb, this was so fun and unique
I'm sure the final boss alone will cause Hawk to automatically award this game first place!
hahahahhahaha
if he doesn't get stuck at the goat boss (all players are having trouble with that one)
The goat boss made this game the Dark Souls of RPG Maker.
