for some reason this brings me back to Pokemon Channel? I don't really know why because it's got a lot of Wii/DS vibes and I also played a ton of those systems. Such a fun experience! The disc error definitely got me. I've seen those kinds of screens too many times haha

haha, such a fun little experience! I kinda love how you pulled from a couple different consoles here, some DS, some wii, some PS1 with those loading screens. Just a neat little treat!

Really neat experience! This really reminds me of all the times I played on my DSi just going through the photo modes and audio recorders, which I can definitely tell is the thing you guys are trying to go for. This is something I know a lot of people who grew up playing games in the 2000's can share, so its really wholesome to see you guys make an experience tied to just that.  I'd describe this as a toy more than it is a game, prompting exploration with tools and fun interfaces that provoke curiosity. Great work gator crew!

Lemme tell you guys a story: 

When i was a kid (little Scrumbo, if you will), some nights before I would go to bed, I would go with my dad into his room and watch him play a game on his PS2. Some nights it was COD, Other nights it was Guitar Hero, But I was never interested in playing. I was just happy to watch.

One night, my dad asked me to put in the disc for whatever game he wanted to play that night while he ran to the restroom, and I happily began swapping the discs. And then I waited. And then I waited. And then I waited. And then- The PS2 Red Screen of Death. Ohhh the scream i scrumpt almost woke up the whole house... For years after, I was terrified of the possibility of seeing that god forsaken red screen again while I was alone in a room by myself with the lights off. Even now, I still feel a crazy sense of unease when I watch videos about console errors, dunno why. 

So,  Fast forward to this morning where I boot up my play play con and start messing around with the settings- saving the game for last since I figured it would be a short 'lil minigame that could bookend the console UI experience. So I drew a bit, composed a bit, connected to the neighbor's Wi-Fi a bit, and after I had my fill, I booted up the game. And then I waited. And then I waited. And then I waited and then- the PlayPlayCon red screen of death. I think the imagery combined with the sound and sudden appearance of the error message that genuinely made my blood run cold for a second there. 

...So, all that is to say, Great work guys. 

y'all, i felt real, actual dread when the disc error came up. idk how it got me so bad, but it did, and i think that's awesome.

the vibes were crazy here, beautiful music, incredible art, squishy sfx, amazing all around. i had some issues with the drawing, however. whenever i would select a new color, it would take a couple of inputs to actually start drawing with the selected color. honestly though, i think everything else makes up for it.
