Good game, it's fun to play! But you have to try hard to get mutations.
Fun game. If I had faster reaction, I would get a little bit higher score than 17😅
Nice post processing! I wish there was some sound though I think it would really make the game feel a lot more satisfying. I also couldnt really tell what was happening when I tried to mutate by pressing right click. Overall nice work though, congratulations on submitting!
This game is all about twitch reflexes and careful use of a short-range attack which requires precision positioning to be effective. You have to go toe-to-toe with the lethal threat in order to land the attacks, meaning you're constantly on the verge of game over if you want to defeat enemies. How many points do they award per kill? Nobody knows, until you're awarded with your final score after just one mistake. This game is unforgiving but very addictive! The colors are mesmerizing and although there is a lack of graphical detail, the aesthetic and lighting effects make up for its simplicity. I had a blast with this one and was even compelled to climb to the top of the leaderboard. Who will dethrone me? I got 64 as my high score.
A possible bug to report: In my long play through, after dying a few times and starting over, my right click ability seemed to stop working entirely, even after refreshing my game a few times. Not sure what's up with that. It usually made a blue aura effect and freeze time, letting me kill an enemy by running into them.
Pretty neat idea! The attack feels pretty unsatisfying, and the high resolution sprites used heavily clash with the simplistic visual style of the rest of the game, but other than that, pretty fun! Solid entry!
Having a quite hard learning curve this game first made it hard to stay alive for more than just a few seconds. A period of welcoming conditions would be helpful i suppose.
Getting familiar with the mechanics more and more I have to admit that i rarely used the two abilities. Attacking makes almost no sense, because it requires steering towards the dashing enemy, while a shield just seems to increase your hitbox, making it only useful for a last tenth-of-a-second escape (not a good preventive tool), not enough for my futile reaction time.
Still a game that manages to appear polished, with the (very good) music and working leaderboard in place. Might have a chance of provoking a really interesting score battle, differentiating itself from many other entries.
