Just love the retro art and the responsiveness. It's a bit too hard from the start, but nothing that can't be iterated on. So great entry!

Lovely retro feel to the game but there is just not enough space to do or react to the arrows.
Like the last comment said, it's a very unique mechanic and very beautiful aesthetic , liked a lot! What you used to implement it?
A bit too fast for me gameplay-wise. Other than that, its a very unique game. Hope you can continue working on this into its full form. ^^
The game has a very unique mechanic. The art and aesthetic is really nice. It also follows the theme quite nicely. The gameplay is weak, though. There's not much of a strategy, and losing progress is way too easy. There's also no sound, which is kind of disappointing. It's a very cool looking game that could use a bit more depth. Great work!
Thanks for playing. I’ll try to add sounds after this jam and maybe balance the gameplay a bit.
I agree that the gameplay lacks depth and purpose. That was my mistake to not focus on gameplay for the jam. I focused more on presentation that the gameplay was a last ditch effort done a day before the end of the jam.
Very pretty! It's somewhat easy to cheese the game by putting the sword at the top of the screen and wiggling it. Without doing that, arrows spawn too quickly to effectively dodge or deflect
A cool idea that could use some expansion. And sound
